as shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, the present invention provides a blind area obstacle reminding system for vehicle steering or gear shifting, which comprises an LCDA controller, a gateway GW, an EPS assembly and an in-vehicle entertainment system HU.

Firstly, the LCDA controller judges whether to send out an alarm signal by receiving information detected by the ultrasonic radar to the surrounding environment and combining operation information to be steered left and right input by a driver.

Specifically, the detection area of the ultrasonic radar includes an area where a predetermined blind area of the driver is located, and whether a moving object exists in the blind area is judged according to detection information of the ultrasonic radar.

The LCAD controller judges that there is a moving object having a moving speed exceeding a preset speed in the blind area and the driver has an operation action of turning on the turn signal lamp (i.e., the driver is considered to have a steering intention). At this time, the LCDA controller sends out an alarm signal.

If a moving object is detected in the blind area, but the driver does not turn the turn light, the LCDA controller does not send out an alarm signal.

In order to prevent the blind area obstacle reminding function from being frequently triggered due to frequent lane changing of the vehicle on a low-speed congestion road section, the experience feeling of a driver is poor, a speed limit value (preset speed) is set for the speed of a moving object detected by the ultrasonic radar, and only when the moving object higher than the preset speed is detected, the LCDA controller can send out an alarm signal.

The steering wheel vibration reminding function is set by a driver in a soft switch in a wire harness interface of the vehicle-mounted entertainment system HU.

And information such as a vibration function switch signal and vibration intensity setting of the THU is required to be integrated, and then a vibration alarm request is sent out, so that the motor vibration of the EPS assembly is controlled.

The blind area vibration reminding function can be started, and a user can select the vibration intensity grade of the steering wheel, wherein the low intensity grade, the medium intensity grade and the high intensity grade are selected respectively. The vehicle-mounted entertainment system HU can also detect the fault state of the steering wheel vibration reminding function, and can feed back fault information to a driver if the fault occurs. Under the condition that the steering wheel vibration reminding function is normally triggered, the EPS controller can control the motor to vibrate according to vibration intensity levels (each vibration intensity level corresponds to one vibration frequency and vibration period) set by a user, and then the steering wheel is driven to vibrate.

However, in the process of controlling the motor vibration, the EPS controller needs to detect whether the alarm signal exists all the time, and if yes, the motor vibration will enter the next period to continue vibration after finishing one period; if no new alarm signal exists, the EPS controller controls the motor to finish vibration reminding after a period.

In addition, the system will continuously monitor for faults, and when a fault occurs, a fault code is generated, stored, and then indicated.

Based on the invention, the unknown risk caused by moving objects to the blind area can be effectively avoided in the process of changing lanes of the vehicle during driving, the driving safety of a driver is greatly improved, and the requirement of the steering wheel vibration reminding function is met.
