Background

The following wiper blades are known: the wiper blade is part of a windscreen wiper device of a motor vehicle and is provided for wiping a windscreen, for example. The window of the vehicle to be wiped is wetted with a cleaning fluid by means of a nozzle which is fastened to the engine hood and is spaced apart from the wiper blade. The wetted glass is cleaned by the wiper blade. Furthermore, during the application of the cleaning fluid, the wiper blade executes a pivoting movement as a result of the windshield wiper device. The applied cleaning liquid temporarily covers the view through the glass. The view through the window remains covered until the wiper blade wipes off the cleaning fluid.

Disclosure of Invention

It is proposed to provide a liquid joint for a wiper blade of a windscreen wiper device, wherein a heating device is arranged in a lumen and protrudes from an opening of the lumen, wherein a hose-like sealing device is arranged on the opening and fluid-tightly closes the opening. The heating device is fixed in this case. The liquid connection can provide the wiper blade with a nozzle which allows the cleaning liquid to be applied directly to the pane. This reduces the visibility through the window due to the cleaning fluid, since the fluid can be wiped off directly by the wiper blade. The cleaning liquid can be applied directly in front of the wiper lip of the wiper blade, wherein preferably the application takes place in the direction of movement, so that the liquid can be removed directly after the application. The Lumen or inner diameter (Lumen) can be understood as the clear width of the chamber and/or the liquid line. Typically the lumen is a cavity in the interior of the object. The opening connects the cavity with the environment surrounding the object on the outside. The heating device is used for preventing the purifying liquid from solidifying. The heating device also heats the wiper blade and softens it for the wiping process. The heating means in the lumen is accessible through the opening, wherein the opening is prevented from fluid ingress or fluid egress by the sealing means. The opening is closed by a sealing means and at the same time the heating means is fixed so that it cannot move out of the lumen. The heating device is connected to a voltage source and/or to ground. A control device for the heating device may be provided, to which the voltage source is connected. From this, the current and the temperature of the heating device are determined.

The heating device may advantageously be a heating wire which is arranged along the first liquid line in the lumen and which exits from the lumen through an opening of the first liquid line and into the lumen of the second liquid line. The heating device is partially disposed outside the lumen. The heating means is at least partially covered by sealing means outside the lumen. The sealing device can surround the heating device in a fluid-tight manner. The heating device is thus protected from the environment. The heating wire may also be a heating tape and/or a Litze wire (Litze). The heating means must be a generally elongated heating means that can be arranged along the respective lumen. All of the previous and subsequent embodiments can be switched with this alternative heating device.

Preferably, the heating wires can be arranged in their own lumen in a single piece (einfach), and a loop-like connection can be formed between the liquid lines. The single-weight arrangement within the lumen means that the heating wire is not guided back in the same lumen, so that it is guided twice along the same liquid line. The heating wire is guided only along the first line and exits at the opening of the first line in order to enter the opening of the second liquid line and is guided back there in a single manner. The heating wire is at least indirectly guided to a voltage source or an electrical ground (elektrische mask) of the vehicle.

In order to achieve a particularly efficient protection of the heating device, the sealing device can be arranged along the course of the loop-shaped connection. In particular, when the heating wires emerge and enter at the respective opening of the liquid line, they extend in a single-weight manner from one opening to the other and form a kind of loop, wherein the heating wires are preferably laid in a single-weight manner in the respective liquid line. Along the loop-like part of the heating filament arranged outside the liquid line, the sealing means can follow along the heating filament in a fluid-tight manner.

The sealing device is capable of fluid-tightly fitting over the at least one opening. The sealing means can completely surround the opening. The sealing device is capable of sealing an opening on both sides, respectively. If the sealing device is designed in a hose-like manner, it can seal an opening with each end of its structure. Alternatively, the sealing device can also be inserted into the opening. Alternatively, the sealing device can be pushed onto the opening and at the same time a part of the sealing device can also be inserted into the opening.

A preferred development may include a seal which, when sealing, supports a portion of the seal on the quilt cover. The sealing element can increase the tension in the region of the section on the quilt cover, so that the force resulting in the sealing is increased compared to an embodiment without a sealing element.

It can be advantageous to use a seal which is constructed like a sealing ring, wherein the sealing ring is arranged on a part of the liquid line and is positioned between the sealing device and the liquid line after the arrangement of the sealing device. The sealing ring can be formed in one piece or integrally with the material of the liquid line and can be formed, for example, as a circumferential flange (Bund). Alternatively, an O-ring may be arranged on the liquid line, onto which the portion that can be sheathed is tightened. Alternatively, a flange may be provided on the liquid line, against which the distal end of the sealing means abuts and fluid-tightly seals.

Alternatively or additionally, the sealing element may be a sealing ring arranged externally to the part of the quilt cover. When the sealing ring is tightly fitted, it can additionally tighten the portion on the quilt cover. Preferably a separate sealing ring may be used. Alternatively, a sealing ring which is produced in one piece or in one piece from the same material as the rest of the sealing device can also be integrated in the sealing device, so that it reinforces the section of the quilt cover, so that a greater tightening force is required in the stretchable material of the sealing device for spreading and covering. The greater force results in an improved seal by the sealing device.

The sealing means in the form of a heat-shrinkable plastic sleeve facilitates easy handling of the arrangement over the opening. For this purpose, the sealing device can be slipped onto the opening and subsequently heated. This can be done with a high number of cycles or strokes (Taktzahl).

It is preferred to arrange the openings at the protrusions of the liquid line. The projection may be tubular in this case. A seat-like projection can be used, onto which the sealing means is fitted. The projection may have a smaller diameter than the sealing means before the sealing means is heated to enable the shrink-wrap to be installed tubularly.

The wiper blade may be equipped with a liquid connection. The liquid connection is arranged in the region of an adapter for fastening the wiper blade to a wiper rod of a windscreen wiper device. The liquid connection can also be arranged on the wiper rod, so that the wiper blade does not have a liquid connection according to the preceding embodiments. The liquid connection is connected to a plug and/or a socket, wherein the plug and/or the socket are arranged on the wiper blade or the wiper arm, according to an embodiment, complementary to the liquid connection. If the liquid connection is arranged, for example, on a wiper blade, a plug or socket can be arranged on the wiper arm, wherein the wiper blade and the wiper arm are likewise connected when the adapter is connected to the wiper arm.

It goes without saying that the features mentioned above and those yet to be explained below can be used not only in the respectively specified combination but also in other combinations. The scope of the invention is limited only by the claims.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a fluid connection 12 for a wiper blade 14 of a windscreen wiper device of a motor vehicle. The windscreen wiper device has a drive unit connected to a wiper rod. The wiper rod is detachably connected to the wiper blade 14 via an adapter 15. The liquid connection 12 is arranged in the region of the adapter 15. The wiper rod can guide the cleaning fluid via a fluid line to the region of the adapter 15, where a plug or socket is connected to the fluid connection 12. The cleaning fluid can be conducted via a fluid connection 12 into a nozzle element mounted on the wiper blade 14 or into the wiper blade 14, where it is sprayed out of a nozzle integrated in the wiper blade 14. The spray nozzles or spray nozzle elements spray cleaning fluid onto the window, where it is wiped off by the wiper body 17 of the wiper blade 14. The wiping body 17 comprises a wiping lip made of, for example, rubber.

Fig. 2 shows the liquid connection 12 in cross section. Two liquid lines 181, 182 are shown, the lumens 18 of which extend continuously along the liquid lines 181, 182. The elongated lumens 18 are oriented substantially parallel. The lumens 18 do not necessarily have to be parallel. The lumens may be at least partially non-parallel. The two fluid lines 181, 182 are integrated in the fluid connection 12 and are connected to one another by at least one web. Furthermore, an opening 20 is shaped at the distal end of said liquid line 181, 182. Each of the conduits 181, 182 is provided with an opening 20. A plurality of openings 20 may also be provided for each conduit. The openings 20 may point in the same direction. In the lumen 18 a heating device 16 is inserted for heating the purification liquid and/or the liquid connection 12.

The heating means 16 may be a heating wire 160 or a heating belt. The heating wire 160 is arranged in the lumen 18 of the respective liquid line 181, 182 and extends along the liquid line 181, 182. The heating wire 160 is positioned in the liquid line in a single-fold manner, so that it extends from the voltage source or a connection for the voltage source through the lumen 18 of the first liquid line 181 and out of the opening 20 assigned to this lumen 18 and then through the opening 20 of the second liquid line 182 into the lumen 18 of this second liquid line. Here, only one heating wire 160 extends through each lumen 18. Between the two openings 20 of the liquid lines 181, 182, the heating filament 160 emerges from the liquid connection 12. Here, the heating wire 160 forms a lap-ring-shaped connection 22 which preferably extends in an arc from one opening 20 to the other opening 20.

An elongate sealing device 10, in particular in the form of a hose, is arranged along the connecting portion 22 and completely and fluid-tightly encloses the heating device 16. The sealing device 10 additionally closes the opening 20 in a fluid-tight manner. The respective ends of the sealing device 10 close the opening 20. Here, a preferably tubular shaped protrusion 32 extends from each liquid line 181, 182. The sealing device 10 is at least partially sleeved onto the protrusion 32.

The connecting portion 22 and/or the sealing device 10 have a u-shaped basic structure, so that a u-shaped course results from one opening to the other opening 20.

Fig. 3 shows various embodiments a to D of the portion 26 of the seal 10 that is sleeved. The embodiments can be combined with each other without limitation.

Fig. 3A shows the projection 32 of the liquid line 181, 182 with the opening 20 for the lumen 18. The sealing device 10 is sleeved in a hose-like manner over the projection 32, so that the opening 20 is sealingly closed. The sealing device 10 encloses the tubular projection 32 at the distal end of the liquid line and the opening 20 with the portion 26 on the quilt cover and sealingly abuts against the wall of the projection 32.

Fig. 3B shows a modification of fig. 3A, in which the seal 24 is disposed on the wall of the projection 32. The seal 24 is responsible for additional sealing of the portion 26 on the quilt cover. The seal 24 is located between the portion 26 of the quilt cover and the inner portion 30 of the wall of the projection 32 facing the portion 26 of the quilt cover. The seal 24 may be configured as a sealing ring 28. The sealing ring 28 is stretched over the projection 32 and sealingly rests on the inner portion 30. The sleeved portion 26 is sleeved over the inner portion 30 and the sealing ring 28. The free end of the sealing device 10 is spaced apart from the sealing ring 28, so that the sealing ring 28 is located inside. The seal 24 may be constructed as a separate component, such as an O-ring. Alternatively or additionally: this component can be formed in one piece or integrally with the sealing device 10 or the projection 32. This member may be configured as a boss arranged on the protrusion 32 or as a boss inside the sealing device 10. Multiple seals 24 may be used.

Fig. 3C shows a further alternative seal 24, which is arranged on the sealing device 10 in the region of the part 26 that is arranged on the quilt cover. The seal 24 can be designed as a sealing ring 28 which seals off from the outside against the part 26 on the quilt cover. The sealing ring 28 tightens the portion of the quilt cover and additionally seals the portion of the quilt cover. The sealing ring 28 is spaced from the free end of the sealing device 10. The seal 24 from fig. 3C can be combined with the seal from fig. 3B, so that for example at least one sealing ring 28 is on the outside and a sealing ring 28 is on the inside. Multiple sealing rings 28 may be used. The seal 24 may be constructed as a separate component or may be constructed as a single piece with the projection 32 and/or the sealing device 10.

Fig. 3D discloses an alternative sealing element 24 which is formed in one piece with the projection 32 and which projects beyond the inner portion 30. The seal 24 is spaced from the opening 20. The free end of the sealing device 10 ends after being arranged on the sealing element 24 and forms a sealed closure. The seal 24 furthermore has a radially outwardly directed surface which extends substantially parallel to the wall of the liquid lines 181, 182. A rectangular cross-section will be shown in particular in relation to a longitudinal section of the projection 32 through the seal 24. The embodiment of fig. 3D can be combined with the sealing rings 28 of fig. 3B and 3C, so that at least one sealing ring 28 can be additionally arranged externally and/or internally.

Fig. 4 discloses a method for sealing the sealing device 10 after introduction of the heating device 16.

Fig. 4A shows the heating wire 160 in the liquid connection 12, wherein the connections 22 of the heating wire 160 between the lumens 18 are arranged in the sealing means. The sealing device 10 is not yet sealingly arranged on the opening and/or the heating wire 160. The tubular sealing device 10 has an inner diameter which is at least as large as the outer diameter of the projection 32 or larger, so that the sealing device 10 can be slipped onto the projection 32. After application, a heat source 34 can be switched on, or the sealing device 10 with the liquid connection 12 can be brought into the vicinity of the heat source 34.

If a material that shrinks during heating (such as, for example, a heat-shrinkable plastic sleeve) is used as the sealing device 10, the sealing device 10 can be shrunk by heating, wherein the sealing device here, just as in fig. 4B, lies in fluid-tight contact with the projections 32 and the heating wire 160. The portion of the quilt cover rests sealingly against the inner portion 30 of the projection 32 and forms a tapering portion of the sealing device 10 in the direction of the heating wire 160 in the region of the opening 20. In this case, the sealing device 10 bears in a fluid-tight manner against the heating wire, so that liquid filling the lumen 18 of the first or second liquid line 181, 182 cannot flow into the part of the sealing device 10 that accommodates the connection 22.
