Detailed Description

The invention provides an additive for improving the digestibility of coarse fodder type daily ration for ruminants, which comprises DL-tartaric acid and auxiliary materials. The source of DL-tartaric acid in the present invention is not particularly limited, and any conventional commercially available product known to those skilled in the art may be used.

In the present invention, the auxiliary material preferably includes corn flour and/or wheat bran; the mass ratio of DL-tartaric acid to auxiliary materials in the additive is preferably (1-2): (1-20). The auxiliary materials used in the invention are used as carriers to play a role in diluting DL-tartaric acid, and are beneficial to more uniform distribution of DL-tartaric acid in the feed.

The invention also provides application of the additive in the technical scheme in improving the digestibility of the ruminant on coarse fodder type daily ration.

In the invention, the additive is preferably mixed with coarse fodder type daily ration according to the amount of 3-22 g/d/head and fed to ruminants.

In the invention, the coarse fodder type daily ration is preferably the daily ration with the mass percentage of coarse fodder in the daily ration more than or equal to 60%. The source of the coarse-type ration in the present invention is not particularly limited, and a conventional commercially available product well known to those skilled in the art may be used. The coarse fodder type daily ration has the advantage of low price, but the coarse fodder type fodder is difficult to digest, has low digestibility, causes fodder waste, and thus has the defect of raising cost. Tartaric acid, one of organic acids, acts on the digestive tract of a ruminant by virtue of its properties, and can increase the digestibility of coarse-type diets by ruminants.

In the present invention, the ruminant preferably includes sheep, and more preferably, an alexan sheep.

To further illustrate the present invention, the additive for improving the digestibility of coarse-type ration by ruminants and the application thereof are described in detail below with reference to the following examples, which should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention.

Application example 1

Selecting 10 healthy Allete ewes aged 1-2 years, wherein the average weight of the Allete ewes is 40.1 +/-2.7 kg. The test group is randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each group is provided with 5 animals (N is 5), and the animals are fed with daily ration with the ratio of essence to crude food of 3: 7. The control group and the experimental group are added with DL-tartaric acid 0 g/d/head and 2 g/d/head respectively. Mixing DL-tartaric acid and wheat bran in a ratio of 1: 20, and the mixture is uniformly mixed for use.

The feed for experimental animals is prepared according to the nutrient quantity required by daily nutrient maintenance requirements of the bred ewes in the standard of meat sheep and goats. The diet composition and nutritional levels (on a dry matter basis) for the animals are shown in table 1.

TABLE 1 basal diet composition and Nutrition level (Dry matter basis)

The experiment was carried out for 20 days, with a pre-feeding period of 14 days and a positive feeding period of 6 days. And collecting, detecting and counting the average feed intake, excretion and other data of the ewes of the Aletai sheep during the positive feeding period. The statistical data of the effect of DL-tartaric acid on sheep digestive metabolism after being added to the coarse diet are shown in table 2, and the results of the detection of the effect of DL-tartaric acid on nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus metabolism after being added to the coarse diet are shown in tables 2 and 3.

TABLE 3 Effect of DL-tartaric acid on sheep Nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus metabolism

Figure BDA0002576588180000052

As shown in Table 2, the apparent digestibility of DM, OM and CP in the test group was improved by 13.85% (P <0.05), 15.03% (P <0.05), 23.16% (P >0.05) and 13.63% (P <0.05) respectively, as compared with the control group. The apparent digestibility of ADF and NDF is respectively improved by 46.63% (P <0.05) and 38.62% (P < 0.05). The apparent digestibility of calcium and phosphorus is respectively improved by 2.01 percent (P >0.05) and 14.01 percent (P > 0.05).

As is clear from Table 3, the amount of nitrogen deposited and the rate of nitrogen deposition in the sheep of the experimental group were increased by 23.45% (P >0.05) and 23.19% (P <0.05), respectively, as compared with the control group.

In conclusion, the experimental group significantly improved the apparent digestibility of sheep to DM, OM, CP, NDF, ADF, energy, phosphorus and nitrogen deposition rate compared to the control group. The fact that the tartaric acid is added into the coarse fodder type daily ration can improve the digestion utilization rate of the sheep on the coarse fodder type daily ration, and further improve the economic benefit.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
