1. The PBT toughening agent is characterized by comprising the following raw materials in parts by weight:

ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA) 90-98

Graft monomers 1 to 5

1-5 parts of liquid auxiliary agent.

2. The PBT toughening agent of claim 1, wherein the grafting monomer is any one of glycidyl methacrylate, maleic anhydride, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or methyl methacrylate, or a combination of at least two thereof.

3. The PBT toughening agent of claim 1 or 2, wherein the liquid adjuvant is one or a combination of at least two of acrylonitrile and styrene.

4. A process for preparing a PBT toughening agent according to any of claims 1-3, comprising the steps of:

(1) weighing an ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer Elastomer (EMA), a grafting monomer and a liquid auxiliary agent according to the raw material ratio, and stirring to obtain a primary mixed material;

(2) and adding the obtained primary mixed material into a double-screw extruder, setting the processing temperature, the rotating speed of a main machine, the feeding rotating speed, the rotating speed of a granulator and the current of the main machine, and extruding and granulating to obtain the product.

5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the mixer in the step (1) is a medium-speed mixer, and the stirring speed is 20-90 r/min.

6. The method according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the processing temperature in step (2) is 120 to 200 ℃.

7. PBT, characterized in that the mechanical properties and notched impact properties of PBT are improved by using the PBT toughening agent of any one of claims 1 to 3.

8. Use of a PBT toughening agent according to any one of claims 1-3 in automotive ventilation grills, automotive bumpers, fans or handles.

Background

Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is a crystalline linear saturated polyester resin, and thermoplastic polyester resin engineering plastics represented by PBT are another important class of engineering plastics following nylon (PA), oxymethylene Polymer (POM), Polycarbonate (PC), and modified polyphenylene oxide (MPPO), and PBT has been industrialized and has taken a leading position in the field of thermoplastic engineering plastics.

The PBT has excellent mechanical, electrical, chemical corrosion resistance, drug resistance, low moisture absorption rate, friction resistance, easy processing and forming and other properties, and has wide application prospects in the fields of automobile industry, electronic information, industrial accessories and the like. However, as a toughness matrix, PBT has higher crack initiation energy and lower crack growth energy, so that the unnotched impact strength is very high, which leads to lower notched impact strength and high notched impact sensitivity, which severely limits the application range of PBT products, and thus, the toughening modification of PBT is an important part of high-performance research.

A novel toughening agent which has good toughness and low temperature resistance on the premise of basically keeping the excellent performance of the PBT is a necessary condition for realizing the multifunctional application of the PBT. Chinese patent CN103881313A introduces a polybutylene terephthalate toughening master batch which takes inorganic filler, matrix resin, coupling agent, dispersant and antioxidant as raw materials and a preparation method thereof, the raw materials are firstly mixed and then prepared by a double-screw extruder to obtain the polybutylene terephthalate toughening master batch, the polybutylene terephthalate toughening master batch has the advantages of low raw material cost, better maintenance of the mechanical properties of the PBT such as tensile strength, bending strength and the like, but small improvement range of the notch impact strength of the polybutylene terephthalate toughening master batch to the PBT, and failure in achieving good toughening effect.

Disclosure of Invention

In order to solve the problem that the PBT material has low notch impact performance, particularly low-temperature impact performance, and improve the notch impact performance on the basis of ensuring the good mechanical property of the PBT material, the invention provides the PBT toughening agent which enables the PBT to have good mechanical property and low-temperature impact performance, the preparation method and the application thereof.

In order to achieve the purpose, the invention adopts the following technical scheme:

the PBT toughening agent comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight:

ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA) 85-90

Graft monomer 5-10

5-10 parts of liquid auxiliary agent.

The parts by weight of the grafting monomer can be selected from 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and the like.

If the weight part of the grafting monomer is less than 1, the grafting rate is not required, and the toughening cannot be effectively realized; and the weight part of the grafting monomer higher than 10 cannot increase the grafting rate, but causes waste of raw materials.

The liquid auxiliary agent can be selected from 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and the like in parts by weight.
