A set (10) comprising a plurality of covering elements (1) for floors and/or walls, wherein each covering element (1) comprises an upper surface (4) having a pattern (5) and at least one vintage upper edge (3), wherein at least two covering elements (1) of the set (10) comprise substantially the same pattern (5), characterized in that the shape of the vintage upper edge (3) is different in each covering element (1) of the set (10).

2. Kit according to claim 1, characterized in that each covering element (1) comprises a backing (2) of ceramic material.

3. Kit according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one distressed edge (3) of each covering element (1) of the kit (10) comprises said pattern (5).

Kit according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least two cover elements (1) of the kit (10) comprise a relief structure (9) on a central portion (6) of the upper surface (4), and wherein the shape of the relief structures (9) of at least two cover elements (1) of the kit (10) is substantially identical.

5. The kit according to claim 4, wherein the relief structure (9) has features corresponding to features of the pattern (5).

6. Kit according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each covering element (1) of the kit (10) comprises at least one coating (7, 8) on the upper surface (4).

7. Kit according to claim 6, characterized in that said at least one coating (7, 8) comprises a base coating (7) able to receive said pattern (5) on itself.

8. Kit according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the at least one coating (7, 8) comprises a protective coating (8) placed on top of the pattern (5).

9. Kit according to any one of claims 6 to 8, characterized in that said at least one coating (7, 8) covers said at least one distressed upper edge (3) of said covering element (1).

10. Kit according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each covering element (1) comprises a plurality of distressed upper edges (3).

11. Kit according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that all distressed upper edges of the kit are shaped differently from each other.

12. Method for decorating a covering element (1) for floors and/or walls, comprising the steps of: -providing the covering element (1) with a backing (2) made of ceramic raw material; -distressing at least one upper edge (3) of the backing (2); firing the covering element (1) after the distressing treatment step.

13. The method of claim 12, comprising the steps of: applying at least one coating (7, 8) on the upper surface (4) of the backing (2) after the distressing treatment step.

14. Method according to claim 13, characterized in that the coating (7, 8) is applied on the distressed upper edge (3).

15. The method according to any one of claims 12 to 14, comprising the steps of: applying a pattern (5) on the upper surface (4) of the backing (2) after the distressing treatment step.

16. An apparatus (15) for decorating covering elements (1) for floors and/or cladding, comprising an element (20) for supporting the covering element (1), at least one grinding wheel (16) able to perform a distressing treatment of the upper edge (3) of the covering element (1), and at least one driving device (18) for driving the grinding wheel in rotation about its own axis (a).

17. Apparatus (15) according to claim 16, wherein said drive means (18) are configured to drive said grinding wheel (16) in rotation at a varying Rotation Speed (RS).
