10. A method of reinforcing and/or stiffening a component having a thin-walled structure, in particular a tubular structure, wherein a composition according to one of claims 1 to 9 is applied to the surface of the structure to be reinforced at a temperature below 70 ℃, in particular at a pump pressure of more than 3 bar, and the composition is cured at a later point in time at a temperature above 130 ℃.

14. Use of a composition according to one of claims 1 to 9 for reinforcing and/or stiffening components having a thin-walled structure.

Examples

The method comprises the following steps:

the compositions were mixed together according to table 1. Subsequently, the density and the viscosity at 40 ℃ of the composition were measured. To test the reinforcing properties of the hollow bodies, the compositions were foamed and simultaneously cured at 160 ℃ for 20 minutes.

Both compositions 3 and 4 according to the invention, comprising expanded perlite particles with a closed shell, are easy to handle and can be pumped at pressures up to 360 bar without damaging the lightweight filler. Due to their closed shell and pressure stability, these particles do not absorb any ingredients of the composition or any water, thus maintaining the weight reduction effect and not adversely affecting other mechanical properties. These compositions therefore also exhibit excellent adhesion and result in a particularly smooth surface of the foamed product. In addition, these compositions have particularly high strength.
