Background

And steel wire ropes are clamped in the scale removing plates and the pressing rings and used as wire brushes to remove iron scales on the surfaces of the round billets, and the steel wire ropes are manually adjusted after being used and failed. The adjusting method is to stop the roller way, loosen the pressing plate of the cold descaling ring, then adjust the length of the steel wire rope, adjust the bolt of the pressing plate by a spanner, and adjust the pressing plate after reaching a proper position.

The specific operation principle of the field operation is that the pressing plate fixes the position of the steel wire rope, and if the pressing plate is detached too loosely, the steel wire rope falls off due to gravity; when the steel wire rope is not loosened during disassembly, the adjustment force of the steel wire rope is not easy to control, so that more manpower and time are required to be consumed during adjustment of the steel wire rope every time.
