1. A display panel comprises a substrate, wherein a plurality of pixel regions arranged in a matrix are defined on the substrate, and each pixel region comprises a plurality of sub-pixel regions; the method is characterized in that:

the display panel also comprises a plurality of light-emitting diodes arranged on the substrate, and each sub-pixel region is correspondingly provided with one light-emitting diode;

and among the light emitting diodes in the same pixel region, at least one light emitting diode and another light emitting diode in the pixel region or at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region belong to the same light emitting unit, and each light emitting diode in the same light emitting unit is from the same wafer and has a common substrate.

2. The display panel of claim 1, wherein in at least some of the light-emitting units, each of the light-emitting diodes in the same light-emitting unit is configured to emit a different color light.

3. The display panel according to claim 2, wherein the number of light emitting diodes for emitting light of each color is the same in the same light emitting unit.

4. The display panel according to claim 2, wherein at least two light emitting diodes for emitting each color light are provided in the same light emitting unit.

5. The display panel according to claim 2, wherein the same light emitting unit is used to emit two or three colors of light.

6. The display panel of claim 1, wherein each of the light emitting diodes belongs to the same light emitting unit as another light emitting diode in the pixel region where the light emitting diode is located or as at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region, and all the light emitting diodes in at least one light emitting unit emit light of the same color.

7. The display panel of claim 1, wherein each of the light emitting diodes belongs to the same light emitting unit as another light emitting diode in the pixel region where the light emitting diode is located or as at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region, and at least some of the light emitting units include the same number of light emitting diodes.

8. The display panel of claim 1, wherein the sub-pixel regions occupied by the light emitting diodes in the same light emitting unit are included in the same pixel region.

9. The display panel of claim 1, further comprising a self-contained light emitting diode disposed on the substrate occupying one of the sub-pixel regions.

10. A method for manufacturing a display panel is characterized by comprising the following steps:

providing a substrate, wherein a plurality of pixel regions arranged in a matrix are defined on the substrate, and each pixel region comprises a plurality of sub-pixel regions;

and transferring a plurality of light emitting diodes to the substrate so that each sub-pixel region is correspondingly provided with one light emitting diode, at least one light emitting diode in the same pixel region and another light emitting diode in the pixel region or at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region belong to the same light emitting unit, each light emitting diode in the same light emitting unit is from the same wafer, has a common substrate and is simultaneously transferred to the substrate, and the same light emitting units are simultaneously transferred to the substrate.

Technical Field

The invention relates to the technical field of display devices, in particular to a display panel and a manufacturing method thereof.

Background

In the related art, a Micro-light-emitting diode (Micro-LED) display panel includes a plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel includes a plurality of sub-pixel regions. When the Micro-LED display panel is manufactured, one way is to transfer and mount a plurality of Micro-LEDs emitting light of different colors to corresponding sub-pixel regions on the substrate, so as to achieve the full color effect of the Micro-LED display panel. In one mode, a plurality of Micro-LEDs emitting the same color light are transferred to the substrate at one time, and the transfer is required for how many times when the Micro-LEDs emitting different colors light exist. In this manner, the Micro-LEDs of different sub-pixel regions in any one pixel are mounted on the substrate via different transfer steps. Since the size of one Micro-LED is small, the transfer of the Micro-LED is difficult, and in the above manner, each Micro-LED needs to be transferred into a corresponding sub-pixel region, and in the case of a large number of Micro-LEDs, the above operation manner is time-consuming and labor-consuming; on the other hand, as the number of times of transfer increases, the product yield decreases.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention provides a display panel, which comprises a substrate, a plurality of pixel regions and a plurality of pixel electrodes, wherein the pixel regions are defined on the substrate and arranged in a matrix;

the display panel also comprises a plurality of light-emitting diodes arranged on the substrate, and each sub-pixel region is correspondingly provided with one light-emitting diode;

and among the light emitting diodes in the same pixel region, at least one light emitting diode and another light emitting diode in the pixel region or at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region belong to the same light emitting unit, and each light emitting diode in the same light emitting unit is from the same wafer and has a common substrate.

Another aspect of the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a display panel, including:

providing a substrate, wherein a plurality of pixel regions arranged in a matrix are defined on the substrate, and each pixel region comprises a plurality of sub-pixel regions;

and transferring a plurality of light emitting diodes to the substrate so that each sub-pixel region is correspondingly provided with one light emitting diode, at least one light emitting diode in the same pixel region and another light emitting diode in the pixel region or at least one light emitting diode in an adjacent pixel region belong to the same light emitting unit, each light emitting diode in the same light emitting unit is from the same wafer, has a common substrate and is simultaneously transferred to the substrate, and the same light emitting units are simultaneously transferred to the substrate.

The display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention comprises a substrate and a plurality of light-emitting units arranged on the substrate, wherein a plurality of sub-pixel regions are defined on the substrate, one light-emitting unit comprises at least two light-emitting diodes, the light-emitting diodes are required to be transferred to the substrate in a one-to-one correspondence manner with the sub-pixel regions in the manufacturing process of the display panel, and each light-emitting diode in the same light-emitting unit is from the same wafer, so that the at least two light-emitting diodes can be simultaneously cut from the wafer, and the form of the combined light-emitting units is transferred at one time. The one-time transfer operation can simultaneously transfer at least two light emitting diodes, which is beneficial to improving the manufacturing efficiency of the display panel and reducing the manufacturing complexity of the display panel.
