Technical Field

The invention relates to a display, in particular to a novel color film capable of improving a color cast phenomenon.

Background

Display technologies have been widely used in production and life, ranging from small-size high-resolution wearable virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) devices to large-size high-brightness outdoor displays, from flat displays to curved displays to stereoscopic displays, and are ubiquitous. The most widely used technology is Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), and organic electroluminescent diode (OLED) is also rapidly developing and widely used. In both display technologies, a Color Filter (CF) is an indispensable key component.

The most common scene is the color film that converts white light into three primary colors, red, green, and blue, and then synthesizes the colors into a colorful color that we see in the display. The color film is usually prepared on a glass substrate, and then corresponds to a pixel on a backplane with a thin film transistor to convert light into a target color. The color film is typically applied directly to the substrate and patterned. However, the color film thickness obtained by this method is constant in the vertical viewing angle, as shown in fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a conventional color filter, and referring to fig. 1, in the conventional color filter 100, although the thickness at a vertical viewing angle is constant, when the viewing angle changes, the thickness at a different viewing angle changes. The color changing ability of the color film changes with the increase of the thickness, and particularly, the transmission spectrum of the color film changes obviously with the increase of the thickness. At this time, the color conversion capability of the color film to the color will be different at different viewing angles. Further, color shift will occur at different viewing angles.

In order to solve the color shift caused by the difference of color conversion capability of a color film at different viewing angles, it is necessary to develop a new color film with uniform film thickness at different viewing angles to solve the color shift.
