A battery cell, comprising:

an electrode assembly having a thickness T1 in a thickness direction of the battery cell; and

a case that houses the electrode assembly, the case having a thickness T2 in the thickness direction, the case including:

a first surface, and a second surface opposite the first surface;

a first arc-shaped side edge connected to the second surface, the first side edge having a radius of R;

a third surface connected to the first side and enclosing at least a portion of a side of the electrode assembly;

a second side including a first portion extending from a first edge of the first surface and a second edge of the third surface toward a direction away from the electrode assembly, and a second portion extending toward a direction approaching the electrode assembly, and the second portion having a trailing edge connected to the third surface, and the second edge of the third surface having a length Z in the thickness direction between a plane on which the second edge is located in the thickness direction and a plane on which the trailing edge is located in the thickness direction, and (T2-Z)/2 ≦ R ≦ T1/2+0.3 mm.

The battery cell according to claim 1, wherein a maximum distance between the second side edge and the electrode assembly adjacent to the second side edge in a width direction of the battery cell perpendicular to the thickness direction is D, 0.3mm < D <0.9 mm.

The battery cell according to claim 2, wherein the length Z is not greater than a height H in the thickness direction of a fan-shaped region S by a radius R of the first side, the height H being measured from a plane in which a second edge of the third surface is located in the thickness direction to a lowest position in the thickness direction of the fan-shaped region S.

The battery cell according to claim 3, characterized in that the length Z ranges from Z <0.8 XT 2.

The battery cell according to claim 4, characterized in that the length Z ranges from 0.2 XT 2< Z.

The battery cell of claim 1, wherein the difference between the thickness T2 of the case and the thickness T1 of the electrode assembly is in the range of 0< T2-T1<0.2 mm.

The battery cell as recited in claim 1 wherein the second side is a first fold or a second fold, at least a portion of the second portion being sealingly engaged with the third surface of the housing.

The battery cell according to claim 1, wherein the electrode assembly is formed by winding a first pole piece and a second pole piece which are arranged at intervals, and a separation film is arranged between the first pole piece and the second pole piece.

The battery cell of claim 8, further comprising an electrolyte within the housing.

An electronic device comprising one or more battery cells according to any one of claims 1-9.
