The main body 10 includes a platen 11, a column 12, and a slider 13. The body 10 may be of an industry-wide design and will not be described in detail herein.

Safety support device 30 includes a rotating member 32 and a support post 34. The rotating member 32 is adapted to be rotatably mounted to the body 10 of the four-column hydraulic machine 100. The support pillar 34 is mounted to the rotating member 32. The support column 34 can rotate to the support position of the slide block 13 of the four-column hydraulic machine 100 to support or move away from the support position of the slide block 13 to avoid.

The support post 34 is threaded to the rotating member 32.

The safety support device 30 also includes a spacer 36. The shim 36 is used to be installed between the rotating member 32 and the bedplate 11 of the four-column hydraulic press 100. The spacers 36 serve to protect the platen 11 and reduce friction.

The rotating member 32 includes a first semicircular sleeve 321 and a second semicircular sleeve 323. The first semicircular sleeve 321 and the second semicircular sleeve 323 are sleeved on the column 12 of the four-column hydraulic machine 100 and fixed by a fixing member 325.

In at least one embodiment, the fixing member 325 is a bolt.

The support pillar 34 is made of solid steel.

rotating the supporting column 34 to enable the supporting column 34 to be in a supporting position of the sliding block 13;

placing the workpiece into a four-column hydraulic press 100;

rotating the supporting column 34 to enable the supporting column 34 to be away from the supporting position of the sliding block 13;

processing the workpiece by a four-column hydraulic press 100;

rotating the supporting column 34 to enable the supporting column 34 to be in a supporting position of the sliding block 13; and

the workpiece is removed by a four-column hydraulic press 100.
