Technical Field

The present invention relates to an electrical connector structure for a fan housing, and more particularly, to an electrical connector structure for a fan housing capable of automatically assembling a fan and a motherboard of an electronic device.

Background

A fan is a commonly used system heat dissipation device, and is often used in electronic equipment to provide a forced heat dissipation effect, and a power supply and signal feedback control of a general fan need to be electrically connected with a motherboard in the electronic equipment to transmit signals and electric power.

Referring to fig. 1, which is a schematic view of a conventional centrifugal fan, a conventional fan 3 is electrically connected to a plurality of metal terminals 5 on a motherboard of an electronic device by inserting a connector 4, the connector 4 is electrically connected to a circuit board (not shown) of the fan by a plurality of electrical leads 41, and the connector 4 of the fan is vertically disposed at the end of the electrical lead 41, so that if the motherboard of the electronic device and the fan are fixed, the connector 4 is manually inserted into the metal terminals 5 of the motherboard of the electronic device by hand, so as to complete assembly, and the exposed electrical leads 41 of the fan generate redundant segments (i.e., too long electrical leads) between the fan 3 and the motherboard of the electronic device, which interfere with the flow of air flow and the adhesion or dust falling in the system space.

Therefore, it is a first objective of those skilled in the art to improve the problems of time and labor consumption, increased manufacturing cost and inconsistent assembly quality of the conventional fan and the connector of the motherboard of the electronic device.

Disclosure of Invention

Therefore, to effectively solve the above problems, the main objective of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector structure for a fan frame that can improve the problem that the existing connector for a fan and a motherboard of an electronic device cannot be plugged by automated assembly instead of manual assembly.

To achieve the above object, the present invention provides an electrical connector structure for a fan frame, which is assembled with a motherboard of an electronic device, the electrical connector structure comprising:

the fan is provided with a frame body, the frame body is provided with at least one pogo pin connector, the pogo pin connector is arranged on one side of the frame body and protrudes out of the frame body, the host board of the electronic equipment is provided with at least one metal contact corresponding to the pogo pin connector, and the pogo pin connector is electrically connected with the metal contact.

The electric connector structure of the fan frame body is characterized in that: the spring pin connector is provided with a main body, the main body is provided with an accommodating space and a connecting end, the connecting end is connected with the circuit substrate, a thimble and a spring are arranged in the accommodating space, one end of the thimble stretches out of the accommodating space of the main body, the other end of the thimble is abutted against the spring, and reciprocating motion can be carried out in the accommodating space.

The electric connector structure of the fan frame body is characterized in that: the frame body is provided with a bottom side and a side wall, and the spring pin connector is selectively arranged on the bottom side or the side wall and extends outwards from the bottom side or the side wall to the frame body.

The electric connector structure of the fan frame body is characterized in that: the circuit board is electrically connected with the spring pin connector and is a hard circuit board or a soft circuit board.

The above objects, together with the structural and functional features thereof, are accomplished by the preferred embodiments according to the accompanying drawings.

Referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, which are three-dimensional and sectional views illustrating the structure of the fan frame electric connector of the present invention, as shown in the drawings, the structure of the fan frame electric connector of the present invention is assembled with a motherboard 1 of an electronic device, and includes: a fan 2;

the fan 2 has a frame 2a, a circuit board 22 and at least one pogo pin connector 23, the pogo pin connector 23 has a main body 231, the main body 231 has a containing space 232 and a connecting end 233, the connecting end 233 is electrically connected with the circuit board 22, a thimble 234 and a spring 235 are arranged in the containing space 232, one end of the thimble 234 protrudes out of the containing space 232 of the main body 231, the other end abuts against the spring 235, and the containing space 232 can move in a reciprocating manner, the circuit board 22 is a hard circuit board or a soft circuit board or is not constrained.

The frame body 2a is provided with an air inlet 2ac and an air outlet 2ad, the frame body 2a is a centrifugal fan frame body and is provided with a top cover 2ae, the air inlet 2ac is arranged on the top cover 2ae, the air outlet 2ad is arranged on the upper side and the side (side wall 2ab) of the frame body 2a, and the air inlet 2ac and the air outlet 2ad are perpendicular to each other by 90 degrees.

Alternatively, the frame 2a is an axial-flow fan frame, and the air inlet 2ac and the air outlet 2ad are disposed on the upper and lower sides (not shown) of the frame 2 a.

The frame 2a is further provided with a stator and a rotor, and the stator and the rotor have the same structure as the conventional fan, so the details will not be described herein.

The main purpose of the present invention is to make the pogo pin connector 23 protrude outward from the bottom side 2aa of the frame 2a in the vertical direction or the side wall 2ab of the frame 2a in the horizontal direction, so that the frame 2a can be assembled with the motherboard 1 of the electronic device in the axial direction (vertical) or the radial direction (horizontal), and the circuit board 22 is selectively disposed on either the bottom side 2aa or the side wall 2ab of the frame 2 a.

The fan 2 and the motherboard can be fixed by arranging a fixed seat at the position of the motherboard corresponding to the position where the fan 2 is to be arranged, and the mode that the fan 2 and the motherboard are connected and combined in the mode of screw locking, clamping or buckling by using a screw locking element is not limited in the invention, and the combination mode and the structure thereof are not repeated.

The invention mainly improves the defect that the traditional fan can not be automatically inserted when the mainboard of the electronic equipment needs to be electrically connected, so the invention directly arranges the spring pin connector on the bottom side or the side wall of the frame body and protrudes out of the frame body, the spring pin connector can directly correspond to the part of the mainboard of the electronic equipment where the mainboard is required to be electrically connected and is provided with a metal contact, and the mechanical arm of the automatic equipment alone or is matched with a jig to directly extract the fan, so that the fan can be simultaneously electrically connected with the mainboard of the electronic equipment and the fixed locking operation of the two parts.

The invention improves the defect that the traditional fan can not be electrically connected and assembled and locked at the same time, greatly saves the labor cost required in production, and further shortens the working hours and the error rate of the assembly operation.
