9. Covering (100) according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the covering (100) has at least one tab (106, 107, 108, 109) in at least one edge region (132, 134, 136, 138) adjoining the opening (130).

10. Covering (100) according to claim 9, characterized in that said at least one tab (106, 107, 108, 109) is turned towards the rear side (102) of said covering (100) and sewn to said covering (100) and/or to said reinforcing frame (140).

11. Covering (100) according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the reinforcing frame (140) has been pressed into the opening, in particular folded into the opening.

12. A cushion part (50) for a vehicle seat (1), in particular for a motor vehicle seat, having a covering (100) according to at least one of claims 1 to 11.

Technical Field

The invention relates to a covering for a cushion part of a vehicle seat, having at least one opening, in particular in the form of a through-hole for a locking device of a child seat. The invention also relates to a cushion part for a vehicle seat and to a vehicle seat.

Background

Fastening devices for fastening a child seat to a vehicle seat are known from the prior art. In the case of what are known as ISOFIX fastening devices, two fastening elements, which are at least indirectly connected to the vehicle seat, interact with two locking devices (known as connectors) of the child seat. For this purpose, the fastening device has two fastening elements which are spaced apart from the connector of the child seat by the same distance. Each fastening element is preferably in the form of a bracket according to the ISOFIX standard and preferably consists of a wire which is bent a plurality of times and has a circular cross section of approximately constant diameter.

DE 10004598 a1 discloses a fastening device for fastening a child seat to a vehicle seat, in which case the fastening element is in the form of a bent wire, the two ends of which are fastened to a cross beam of the seat substructure. The cross beam is a tube.

DE 102008009575 a1 discloses a fastening device for fastening a child seat to a vehicle seat, comprising a carrier and a bracket which has at least one first fastening section, one second fastening section and one web, and the first and second fastening sections are separate from one another and in each case fixedly connected to the carrier. The web connects the first and second fastening portions to each other so that the bracket is in a single piece. The bracket is a formed flat metal plate. The web has a C-shaped cross-section.

The fastening means is intended to hook a fastening hook which is attached to one end of a safety belt at the rear side of the vehicle backrest, the other end of the safety belt being fastened to the upper region of the child seat and in this way securing the child seat. A harness with a hook is also referred to as a top tether. Such top tethers are used particularly in the united states and canada to secure child seats to vehicle structures.

DE 19853149C 1 discloses a vehicle seat to which a child seat can be attached by means of a fastening device which is arranged on the vehicle seat between the seat cushion and the backrest. The fastening means may be concealed by the cover when not in use. The side of the cover facing away from the fastening device forms part of the seat surface of the vehicle seat.

US 2016/0200224A 1, US 2016/0250948 a1, US 2016/0325658 a1, CN 108177567 a and CN 108189719 a also disclose covers for fastening means for fastening a child seat to a vehicle seat.

EP 1352779 a1 discloses a control lever assembly for a vehicle seat covered with a fabric covering. The control lever assembly has a means for changing a mechanical state of a system for controlling a position of the vehicle seat, and a flange for surrounding the means for changing the mechanical state.

DE 102006058388 a1 discloses a method for mounting an actuating device for a vehicle, which actuating device has a base part, a rim, a handle part and at least one bowden cable with an end fitting, the base part having a first collar and the rim having a second collar, a clamping gap being produced during mounting between the first collar and the second collar, and a covering being clamped in the clamping gap. The cover is pulled over the base part, the cover having a notch over the cavity of the base part, the tab of the cover being guided around the inner periphery of the first collar and pushed by the slot onto the lug, which creates a form-fitting connection.

Disclosure of Invention

Technical problem

The invention is based on the problem of improving a covering for a vehicle seat, which covering has at least one through-opening which can be closed by a cover. In particular, it is an object to provide the option of high quality configuration for the edge area of the cover defining the through hole. The object is to prevent that the edge region of the cover can be detached from the cover in a way that the edge region is visible. Furthermore, the cushion element with the corresponding covering should have a high quality impression.

Solution scheme

According to the invention, this problem is solved by a covering for a cushion part of a vehicle seat, which covering has at least one opening, in particular in the form of a through-hole for a locking device of a child seat, in which covering an edge region arranged around the at least one opening is reinforced at least in certain sections with a reinforcing frame.

Since the edge regions of the covering which are arranged around the at least one opening are reinforced with the reinforcing frame at least in certain parts, the edge regions of the covering are prevented from being able to be separated from the covering in a manner in which these edge regions are visible. The covering is reinforced in the edge region around the at least one opening, so that the edge region is less likely to be pulled out from under the edge of the covering in the event of high covering tension.

The reinforcing frame is made of a plastic material, preferably folded. The plastic material is a woven sheet material that is composed of a disordered fibrous material that is difficult to separate. The plastic material is therefore a non-woven fabric. The material thickness of the plastic material is for example in the range between 1mm and 5mm, preferably approximately 3 mm.

The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments which can be used alone or in combination with one another.

The stiffening frame may be provided on the rear side of the cover.

The reinforcing frame may have a U-shape. The reinforcing frame may have a web and two legs. The web may be connected to at least one of the two legs by at least one hinge. The hinge may be in the form of a film hinge.

The stiffening frame may be folded from a plastic material having a material thickness of between 1mm and 5mm, preferably between 2mm and 4 mm. The depth of the reinforcing frame may be at least three times, preferably at least ten times, the material thickness of the plastic material.

The reinforcing frame may be sewn to the cover by at least one seam. The cover may have at least one tab in at least one edge region adjacent to the opening. The at least one tab may be turned in the direction of the rear side of the covering and may be sewn to the covering (100) and/or the reinforcing frame. The reinforcing frame can already be pressed into the opening, in particular folded into the opening.

The problem is also solved by a cushion part for a vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle seat, having a covering according to the invention. The cushion element with the covering according to the invention has a high-quality impression.

The problem is also solved by a vehicle seat having at least one such cushion part.

The cover pushed through the opening in the cover preferably has an edge. The edge preferably hides the area of the front side of the cover, which is reinforced by the plastic material on the rear side of the cover, so that the reinforcing frame in the front side of the cover may cause areas of indentations in the top layer of the cover and/or the seams through which the plastic material is sewn to the cover are not visible.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a device consisting of a vehicle seat 1 according to the invention for a motor vehicle and a child seat 10 known from the prior art, in particular designed as an ISOFIX child seat. The vehicle seat 1 has a seat portion 3 and a backrest 5.

The seat part 3 has a load-bearing structure comprising fastening means 30 for fastening the child seat 10 to the vehicle seat 1. The fastening device 30 has two lower fastening elements 32 for fastening a child seat 10, which child seat 10 can be placed on the vehicle seat 1. The fastening element 32 is preferably a bent steel wire which is fastened to a load-bearing structure of the vehicle seat 1, in particular the seat part 3, or to a load-bearing structure of the motor vehicle.

The child seat 10 may be fastened to two fastening elements 32. For this purpose, the child seat 10 has two locking devices 12, also referred to as connectors, which project rearward in a lower region of the child seat 10 and can be locked to the fastening element 32.

Furthermore, a further fastening means can be provided on the vehicle seat 1, to which a safety belt 14 (also referred to as a top tether) of the child seat 10 known from the prior art can be fastened. The safety belt 14 is fastened in the upper region of the child seat 10, is deflected over the upper edge of the backrest 5 and is guided downward behind the backrest 5, where it can be fastened to another fastening means of the vehicle seat 1 or to the vehicle structure.

Fig. 2 to 5 show a cushion part 50 of the seat part 3 of a vehicle seat 1, which is known from the prior art and in the present case is in the form of a rear seat. The front row seats may have a similar structure. The vehicle seat 1 has a seat portion and a backrest.

In the following, the vehicle seat 1 and the invention will be described using three spatial directions extending perpendicularly with respect to each other. In the case of a vehicle seat 1 mounted in a vehicle, the longitudinal direction x extends substantially horizontally and preferably parallel to a vehicle longitudinal direction corresponding to the normal direction of travel of the vehicle. A transverse direction y extending perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal direction x is likewise oriented horizontally in the vehicle and extends parallel to the vehicle transverse direction. The vertical direction z extends perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal direction x and perpendicularly with respect to the transverse direction y. In the case of a vehicle seat 1 mounted in a vehicle, the vertical direction z extends parallel to the vehicle vertical axis.

The position and direction specifications used, such as front, rear, top and bottom, relate to the viewing direction of an occupant seated in the vehicle seat 1 in a normal seating position, the vehicle seat 50 being mounted in the vehicle and oriented in a use position suitable for passenger transport with the upright backrest 5 and oriented in the direction of travel as usual, wherein the child seat 10 is not mounted. However, the vehicle seat 1 according to the invention can also be mounted in a different orientation, for example transversely to the direction of travel.

The seat portion 3 has a seat frame that supports the cushion member 50. The cushion member 50 includes a foam member 60 and a cover 70. The foam part 60 is provided with a cover 70, the cover 70 having a top layer, for example consisting of fabric, artificial leather or leather. The seat frame may preferably be connected to a vehicle structure of the vehicle.

The fastening means for fastening the child seat 10 to the vehicle seat 1, which is not shown in fig. 2 to 5, comprise two lower fastening elements 32 for fastening the child seat 10 that can be placed on the vehicle seat 1. The fastening element 32 is preferably a bent steel wire which is fixedly connected to a vehicle structure of a vehicle into which the vehicle seat 1 can be mounted. In a variant of the exemplary embodiment, the fastening element 32 is an integral part of the seat frame.

The fastening element 32 of the fastening device 30 is arranged behind a bolster 52 of the seat cushion part 50, which bolster abuts against the backrest. The seat cushion member 50, in this example, a bolster 52, has two through holes 54 at each seating position. The through-holes 54 are formed through corresponding through-openings 62 in the foam member 60 and corresponding openings 72 in the cover 70. The through hole 54 allows the locking device 12 in the child seat 10 to be guided through the cushion part 50 and locked to the fastening element 32. The fastening elements 32 may be arranged behind the respectively associated through-hole 54 or in the respectively associated through-hole 54.

The through-holes 54 in the cushion element 50 are in each case concealed by a cover 80, as shown for example in fig. 5, or a cover of a different construction. Further, the covering portions 80 are used to line the through holes 54 in the cushion member 50, respectively. Each of the two covers 80 has a carrier 82 and a flap 90 pivotally mounted on the carrier. When the lid 90 is in the closed state, it closes the through hole 54 assigned to the covering section. By pivoting the flap 90 about a pivot axis extending parallel to the transverse direction y, the flap 90 opens the through hole 54 so that a fastening element arranged behind the flap 90 is accessible.

The carrier 82 has a frame-shaped configuration. The carrier 82 has a generally tubular basic shape with a substantially rectangular cross-section. The carrier 82 is made of plastic. The carrier 82 has a plurality of centering means 84 for centering the carrier 82 on the seat frame, for example in an opening of a retaining plate of the seat frame or on a corresponding retaining plate of a vehicle structure of the vehicle. Furthermore, the carrier 82 has a plurality of clamps 86 for fastening the carrier 82 to the seat frame, for example in openings of retaining plates of the seat frame or to corresponding retaining plates of a vehicle structure of the vehicle.

The carrier 82 has an edge 88 that projects outwardly around the perimeter of the through-hole 54 and conceals the edge area of the cover 70 around the perimeter of the opening 72.

Fig. 6 to 9 show an exemplary embodiment of a cover 100 according to the present invention. In contrast to the covering 70 known from the prior art, this covering 100 has a design which is reinforced by a reinforcing frame consisting of a plastic material in the edge region around the through-opening. The cover 100 according to the present invention can replace the cover 70 known in the art without requiring changes to other components of the cushion member 50 known in the art. In particular, the foam member 60 and the cover 80 may be invariably combined with the cover 100 according to the present invention. The cover 100 may be composed of a plurality of cover parts connected to each other, preferably sewn to each other.

The covering 100 according to the invention corresponds, unless otherwise indicated, to the previously described covering 70 known from the prior art.

Fig. 6 to 9 show a cover according to the invention. The cover 100 is a component of a cushion part for the vehicle seat 1. The foam member of the cushion member is covered with a cover 100. The cover 100 may be sewn together from multiple cover components.

Fig. 6 shows a view of the rear side 102 of the cover 100. The back side 102 of the covering 100, also technically referred to as the B-side, is the side of the covering 100 that faces the foam part. In the fully decorated state of the cushion part in the vehicle seat 1, the rear side 102 of the covering 100 is not visible to the user of the vehicle seat 1.

Fig. 7 shows a view of the front side 104 of the cover 100. The front side 104 of the covering 100, also technically referred to as side a, is the side of the covering 100 facing the user of the vehicle seat 1. In the fully decorated state of the cushion part in the vehicle seat 1, the front side 104 of the covering 100 is largely visible to the user of the vehicle seat 1 and is partially in contact with the body of the user.

In the present case, the cover 100 has two cover layers. The fabric carrier layer 110, in particular a textile fabric, is provided with a top layer 120, in particular a vinyl layer. The carrier layer 110 and the top layer 120 are connected to one another over their surface area and constitute artificial leather, i.e. a simulated leather. In this regard, the top layer 120 forms the front side 104 and the carrier layer 110 forms the back side 102 of the cover 100.

In a variation of the exemplary embodiment, another cover layer, such as a knitted spacer fabric and/or a ventilation layer, may be disposed between the top layer 120 and the carrier layer 110. In a further variant of the exemplary embodiment, the top layer consists, for example, of a textile material or of an animal skin, in particular of leather. In this respect, the present invention is not limited to artificial leather covers.

The cover 100 has two openings 130. The openings 130, together with the through openings in the foam member, form through holes in the cushion member. The through hole of the cushion part allows the locking means 12 of the child seat 10 to be guided through the cushion part 50 and locked to the fastening means.

In the region of the two openings 130, the structure of the cover 100 is preferably identical, respectively, if appropriate mirror-symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry extending perpendicularly with respect to the transverse direction y, which is why only one opening 130 is described below.

The edge regions of the cover 100 delimiting the opening 130 are reinforced in certain parts by a reinforcing frame 140, which reinforcing frame 140 consists of a plastic material. The plastic material 140 is folded from a flat blank 142 to form the stiffening frame 140. The reinforcing frame 140 has a U-shaped profile. The stiffening frame 140 has a web 144 and two legs 146, 148. The web 144 and the two legs 146, 148, respectively, are generally perpendicular with respect to the rear side 102 of the shroud 100.

In each case, the web 144 is connected to two legs 146, 148 by a flexible hinge 150. In the present case, the hinge 150 is formed by two recesses 152 in the plastic material and a film hinge 154 (flexible thin-walled joining channel).

The depth of the web 144, measured parallel to the longitudinal direction x, is greater than the material thickness of the plastic material. Opening 130 is bounded by a lower edge region 132, a first lateral edge region 134, a second lateral edge region 136, and an upper edge region 138. The lower edge region 132 and the upper edge region 138 preferably extend parallel to each other and to the transverse direction y. The two lateral edge regions 134, 136 preferably extend parallel to each other and substantially parallel to the vertical direction z.

In the transverse direction y, the first tab 106 of the cover 100 has a width that is less than the spacing between the first lateral edge region 134 and the second lateral edge region 136. The first tab 106 is integrally connected to the remainder of the cover 100 in an upper edge region 138 that defines the opening 130. The first tab 106 may pivot about the upper edge region 138. The second tab 107 is integrally connected to the rest of the cover 100 in the lower edge region 138.

In the vertical direction z, the height of the fourth tab 109 of the cover 100 is smaller than the height corresponding to the spacing between the lower edge region 132 and the upper edge region 138. The fourth tab 108 is integrally connected to the remainder of the cover 100 in a second lateral edge region 134. The fourth tab 109 is spaced from both the lower edge region 132 and the upper edge region 138. The fourth tab 108 is pivoted about the second lateral edge region 136 in the direction of the rear side 102 of the cover 100 and sewn to the second leg 148 of the stiffening frame 140 by a third seam 164.

The features disclosed in the above description, the claims and the drawings are of significance both individually and in combination for the implementation of the invention in its various embodiments as long as they remain within the scope of protection of the claims.
