The harm of mold contamination has two main aspects: firstly, the nutritional value of the feed is destroyed, and the physical property and the chemical property of the feed are changed, such as discoloration, taste change and caking, so that the palatability is reduced; secondly, the toxigenic mould can produce mycotoxin and affect human health through food chain milk, eggs and meat. Mycotoxins are primarily toxic metabolites produced by molds in food products contaminated therewith. At present, silage mold inhibitors in China mainly take chemical and microbial products as main materials, chemical mildewcides mainly comprise organic acids (propionic acid, sorbic acid, benzoic acid and the like), organic acid salts (calcium propionate, potassium sorbate and the like) and organic acid esters (dimethyl fumarate and p-hydroxybenzoate), the effects of the chemical agents on inhibiting molds are different, but the common problems exist in that the products are high in irritation, strong in corrosivity, bad in smell, difficult to solve in residue, unreliable in product safety performance and possibly toxic effects on animals and human bodies to a certain degree. The microbial products mainly comprise lactic acid bacteria, propionic acid bacteria and the like, which have important significance in improving the quality of silage, but in the aspect of inhibiting mould, the microbial agent has strict storage and use conditions, relatively unstable effect, higher requirement on the operation level of a user and relatively weaker applicability in production.
