A straddle-type vehicle comprising: an article storage unit (35) provided on the vehicle body; an openable/closable lid (6) that closes an opening (36) of the article storage section (35); and a connection unit (70) provided with a connection port (60) into which a plug (100) for connecting an external electronic device is inserted and removed, the straddle-type vehicle (1) being characterized in that,

wherein the front surface side of the lid (6) is exposed to the outside of the vehicle body in a state where the lid (6) is closed, and the back surface side of the lid (6) is in contact with the opening (36),

the connecting means (70) is disposed on the back side of the cover (6).

2. The straddle-ride type vehicle according to claim 1,

the connection unit (70) is covered by a unit cover (50), and the unit cover (50) is formed with a through hole (54) facing the connection port (60).

3. The straddle-ride type vehicle according to claim 1 or 2,

an axial hole (42) for pivotally supporting the lid (6) so as to be openable and closable is formed at an end portion of a curved arm (41) provided on the lid (6),

the unit cover (50) covers a part of the bent arm (41) and the connection unit (70),

a wire harness (80) extending from the connection unit (70) passes through between the bent arm (41) and the unit cover (50) and is wired on the vehicle body side,

at least one of the bent arm (41) and the unit cover (50) is formed with a guide member (57, 59) for accommodating the wire harness (80) at a predetermined position.

4. The straddle-type vehicle according to any one of claims 1 to 3,

the connection port (60) is directed in a direction opposite to the article receiving portion (35) when the lid (6) is closed.

5. The straddle-ride type vehicle according to any one of claims 1 to 4,

the straddle-type vehicle (1) is a pedal-type vehicle, a low pedal (13) for placing feet of a passenger is arranged between a steering handle (2) and a vehicle seat (24),

the article storage section (35) is provided on a bottom plate (5) extending upward from the front end of the low step plate (13).

6. The straddle-ride type vehicle according to claim 3,

the cover (6) comprises: a base member (40) having the curved arm (41); and

and a decorative plate (40a) that is fixed to the base member (40) and is visible from the outside of the vehicle body.

A straddle-type vehicle comprising: an article storage unit (35) provided on the vehicle body; an openable/closable lid (200) that closes an opening (36) of the article storage section (35); and a connection unit (70) provided with a connection port (60) into which a plug (100) of an external electronic device is inserted and removed, the straddle-type vehicle (1) being characterized in that,

wherein the front surface side of the lid (200) is exposed to the outside of the vehicle body in a state where the lid (200) is closed, and the back surface side of the lid (200) is in contact with the opening (36),

the connection unit (70) is disposed inside the cover (200).

8. The straddle-ride type vehicle according to claim 7,

an axial hole (42) for pivotally supporting the lid (200) in an openable and closable manner is formed at an end portion of a curved arm (41) provided to the lid (200),

the cap (200) comprises: a base member (202) having the curved arm (41); and a decorative plate (201) fixed to the base member (202) and visible from the outside of the vehicle body,

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a straddle-type vehicle, and more particularly to a straddle-type vehicle having a connection port for charging or information communication by connecting an external electronic device such as a smartphone.

Background

Conventionally, there is known a configuration in which an auxiliary outlet is provided at a predetermined position of a vehicle in order to drive various electric devices using electric power of an in-vehicle battery.

Patent document 1 discloses a scooter type motorcycle having a low step for putting a foot of a passenger between a steering handle and a seat, in which an article storage section with a cover is provided on a bottom plate facing a leg of the passenger in front of the low step, and an auxiliary socket is disposed inside the article storage section.

Disclosure of Invention

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for connection ports such as the USB (Universal Serial Bus) standard for connecting to external electronic devices such as smartphones for charging and information communication, and it is also considered to apply connection ports such as the USB standard instead of auxiliary sockets for supplying only power to straddle-type vehicles. In this case, since the size and shape of the connection means for providing the connection port of the USB standard or the like are different from those of the auxiliary socket, it is possible to apply a more convenient arrangement structure without replacing only the auxiliary socket disposed inside the article storage unit as in patent document 1 with the connection means.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-described conventional technical problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a straddle-type vehicle in which a connection unit for providing a connection port of an external electronic device is disposed at a more convenient position.

In order to achieve the object, a 1 st feature of the present invention is a straddle-type vehicle including: an article storage unit provided on a vehicle body; an openable/closable lid that closes the opening of the article storage section; and a connection unit provided with a connection port through which a plug for connecting an external electronic device is inserted and removed, wherein a front surface side of the cover is exposed outside the vehicle body and a rear surface side of the cover is in contact with the opening in a state where the cover is closed, and the connection unit is disposed on the rear surface side of the cover.

In addition, the connection unit is covered by a unit cover in which a through hole facing the connection port is formed, according to the 2 nd feature.

Further, according to the 3 rd aspect, an axial hole for pivotally supporting the cover in an openable and closable manner is formed in an end portion of a bending arm provided in the cover, the unit cover covers a part of the bending arm and the connection unit, the wire harness extending from the connection unit is passed through between the bending arm and the unit cover and is wired to a vehicle body side, and a guide member for accommodating the wire harness at a predetermined position is formed in at least one of the bending arm and the unit cover.

In addition, according to the 4 th aspect, when the cover is closed, the connection port is directed in a direction opposite to the article storage portion.

In addition, according to the 5 th aspect of the present invention, the straddle-type vehicle is a scooter-type vehicle, a low step on which both feet of the occupant are placed is provided between the steering handle and the seat, and the article storage section is provided on a floor plate extending upward from a front end of the low step.

Further, the 6 th feature is that the cover includes: a base member having the curved arm; and a decorative plate fixed to the base member and visible from outside of the vehicle body.

Further, the 7 th aspect includes: an article storage unit provided on a vehicle body; an openable/closable lid that closes the opening of the article storage section; and a connection unit provided with a connection port through which a plug of an external electronic device is inserted and removed, wherein, in the straddle-type vehicle, a front surface side of the cover is exposed outside a vehicle body in a closed state of the cover, and a rear surface side of the cover is in contact with the opening, and the connection unit is disposed inside the cover.

Further, according to the 8 th aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cap including a shaft hole formed at an end of a curved arm provided to the cap for pivotally supporting the cap in an openable and closable manner, the cap including: a base member having the curved arm; and a decorative plate fixed to the base member and visible from the outside of the vehicle body, wherein the connecting means is disposed between the base member and the decorative plate.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

According to the 1 st feature, the straddle-type vehicle includes: an article storage unit provided on a vehicle body; an openable/closable lid that closes the opening of the article storage section; and a connection unit provided with a connection port through which a plug for connecting an external electronic device is inserted and removed, wherein in a state in which the cover is closed, a front surface side of the cover is exposed outside the vehicle body, and a rear surface side of the cover is in contact with the opening, and the connection unit is disposed on the rear surface side of the cover. In addition, in a straddle-type vehicle in which the cover is exposed outward, the connection port can be protected from moisture, dust, and the like by closing the cover.

According to the second aspect of the invention, since the connection unit is covered with the unit cover formed with the through hole facing the connection port, the plug can be inserted and removed through the through hole, and the connection unit is protected by the unit cover.

According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the wire harness is connected to the unit cover, and the wire harness is inserted into the unit cover, the wire harness is guided to the unit cover, and the wire harness is guided to the unit cover by the guide member, the wire harness can be prevented from moving when the cover is opened and closed, and the surface of the wire harness can be protected by covering the wire harness with the unit cover.

According to the 4 th aspect, since the connection port is directed in the direction opposite to the article storage section when the cover is closed, a space for inserting and removing the plug can be secured when the cover is opened, thereby improving convenience. Further, by configuring the cover so as to be directed substantially horizontally when the cover is fully opened, the plug can be pushed from above the vehicle body and easily inserted into the connection port, and in the case of a small-sized electronic device, charging and the like can be performed in a state of being placed on the cover.

According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, since the article storage portion is provided on the bottom plate extending upward from the front end of the low step, the connection port can be accessed by opening the cover provided at a position below the steering handle, and convenience of the scooter type vehicle can be improved.

According to the 6 th feature, the cover comprises: a base member having the curved arm; and a decorative plate fixed to the base member and visible from the outside of the vehicle body, so that the decorative plate exposed to the outside of the vehicle body and the base member hidden inside the vehicle body can be formed of different materials, and the strength, the appearance, and the like can be optimized.

According to the 7 th feature, the straddle-type vehicle includes: an article storage unit provided on a vehicle body; an openable/closable lid that closes the opening of the article storage section; and a connection unit provided with a connection port through which a plug of an external electronic device is inserted and removed, wherein a front surface side of the cover is exposed outside the vehicle body in a closed state of the cover, and a rear surface side of the cover is in contact with the opening, wherein the connection unit is disposed inside the cover, and wherein the connection unit is disposed so as to suppress influence on a shape and a capacity of the article storage section, as compared with a configuration in which the connection unit is disposed inside the article storage section. In addition, in a straddle-type vehicle in which the cover is exposed outward, the connection port can be protected from moisture, dust, and the like by closing the cover.

According to the 8 th aspect, an axial hole for pivotally supporting the cover so as to be openable and closable is formed at an end portion of a curved arm provided to the cover, and the cover includes: a base member having the curved arm; and a decorative plate fixed to the base member and visible from the outside of the vehicle body, wherein the coupling unit is disposed between the base member and the decorative plate, and therefore, the coupling unit can be protected by the base member and the decorative plate without providing a cover member for protecting the coupling unit separately.

Detailed Description

Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 is a left side view of a motorcycle 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a partially enlarged rear view of the motorcycle 1. The motorcycle 1 is a scooter type straddle-type vehicle provided with a low step plate 13 for placing a rider's foot between a steering handle 2 and a seat 24. The center in the vehicle width direction of the steering handle 2 having a pair of left and right mirrors 3 is covered with an instrument cover 4. A pair of left and right front forks 11 that rotatably support the front wheel WF are supported below the steering handle 2. A floor panel 5 facing the occupant is disposed below the instrument cover 4, and a front cover 9 supporting a headlight 8 and a front turn lamp (flash light)7 is disposed on the vehicle body front side of the floor panel 5. A front fender 10 that covers the upper side of the front wheel WF is disposed below the front cowl 9.

A low step 13 for placing both feet of the occupant side by side is provided between the lower end portion of the bottom plate 5 and a seat lower surface plate 12 supporting a seat 24. The left and right ends of the low step 13 in the vehicle width direction are connected to the lower panel 14. A swing unit type power unit P in which an internal combustion engine and a continuously variable transmission are integrated is pivotally supported on a vehicle body frame covered with a lower surface plate 14 so as to be able to swing.

An air cleaner case 22 is fixed to an upper portion of the power unit P, and a rear wheel WR as a driving wheel is rotatably supported at a rear end portion of the power unit P. The rear portion of the power unit P is suspended from the vehicle body by a rear damper C disposed adjacent to the rear of the air cleaner box 22. A main stand 16 is provided at a lower portion of the power unit P, and a side stand 15 is provided below the lower surface plate 14. A pair of left and right rear covers 21 are disposed below the seat 24 and the armrest rail 20, and a rear end of the rear covers 21 supports a tail lamp 19, a rear turn lamp 18, and a rear fender 17.

Referring also to fig. 2, the meter cover 4 that supports the meter device 37 covers the center in the vehicle width direction of the handlebar 2a that constitutes the steering handle 2. A right hand side operating switch 25 and a front wheel brake lever 28 are attached to the right hand side of the handlebar 2a, and a left hand side operating switch 29 and a rear wheel brake lever 33 are attached to the left hand side of the handlebar 2 a. The stop switch 26 and the start switch 27 are disposed in the right-hand operating switch 25, and the dimmer switch 30, the horn switch 31, and the blinker switch 32 are disposed in the left-hand operating switch 29.

A combination switch 34 including a key cylinder of a main switch and a swing type seat open switch is disposed on the right side of the floor panel 5 in the vehicle width direction. On the other hand, an openable cover 6 for storing and retrieving articles in an article storage 35 capable of storing small articles such as gloves is provided on the left side in the vehicle width direction of the floor panel 5. An operation knob 6a for releasing the locking of the closed state is provided at an upper end portion of the lid 6, and the lid 6 is swung to the vehicle body rear side by pulling the operation knob 6a to the vehicle body rear side.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the opened state of the lid 6 viewed from the vehicle body rear side. In the closed state, the front side of the lid 6 is exposed behind the vehicle body, and the rear side thereof is in contact with the opening 36 of the article storage portion 35. In the fully opened state in which the cover 6 becomes substantially horizontal, the front side thereof is directed to the vehicle body lower side and the back side thereof is directed to the vehicle body upper side.

The cover 6 includes: a decorative plate 40a which is flush with the bottom plate 5 in a state where the cover 6 is closed; and a base member 40 that supports the decorative plate 40a from the back side. In a state where the cover 6 is opened, the unit cover 50 covering the substantially center of the base member 40 is exposed upward of the vehicle body. In the state where the lid 6 is open, the arm cover portion 51 of the unit cover 50 located on the vehicle body front side has a curved shape bulging upward in a vehicle body side view, and extends to the inside of the article storage portion 35. The base member 40, the decorative plate 40a, and the unit cover 50 may be formed of colored synthetic resin or the like.

The present embodiment is characterized in that the USB-standard connection port 60 is disposed on the back surface side of the cover 6. The connection port 60 can be accessed from a through hole provided in the unit cover 50. The connection port 60 is opened upward of the vehicle body with the lid 6 open, and can be inserted by pushing in a plug 100 of a cord 101, a plug 100 of a USB memory 102, and the like connected to an external electronic device from above the vehicle body. By inserting and connecting plug 100 into connection port 60, one or both of charging using the in-vehicle battery as a power source and information communication with the external electronic device can be realized.

Fig. 4 is a front view of the cover 6 as viewed from the back side. Fig. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the cover 6 as viewed from the back side, and fig. 6 is a front view of the base member 40. The arrows on the upper, lower, left, and right sides in the figure indicate the orientation of the motorcycle 1 with the lid 6 in the closed state.

The unit cover 50 (dotted portions shown in the figure) is fixed to the back surface side of the cover 6, that is, the back surface side of the base member 40, by four screws 90. A box-shaped connection unit 70 provided with the connection port 60 is housed between the base member 40 and the unit cover 50.

The base member 40 includes: a standing wall portion 48 surrounding the periphery of the planar portion 44; and a bending arm 41 provided with a shaft hole 42 for pivotally supporting the base member 40 so as to be swingable with respect to the vehicle body. A cylindrical boss 46 and two bases 45 to which screws 90 are fastened, and a positioning base 47 for positioning the connection unit 70 are provided on the inner side of the upright wall portion 48. The bending arm 41 has a bent shape that prevents interference with the floor panel 5 when the lid 6 is opened, and a boss 43 to which a screw 90 is fastened is provided on a position on the right side in the vehicle width direction. The arm cover portion 51 of the unit cover 50 covers the entire bending arm 41 from the vehicle body front side.

The unit cover 50 is provided with: a 1 st flange 52 disposed further toward the vehicle rear side than the center portion 53 in contact with the connection unit 70; and a 2 nd flange 52a disposed further toward the vehicle body front side than the center portion 53. Through holes 55 through which screws 90 are inserted are formed in the 1 st flange 52, the 2 nd flange 52a, and the arm cover 51, respectively. The wire harness 80 extending from the connecting unit 70 to the inside in the vehicle width direction is bent inside the 2 nd flange 52a, and then guided outward through between the bent arm 41 and the arm cover portion 51. A connector 81 for connection to a vehicle body-side circuit is provided at an end of the wire harness 80.

In the present embodiment, by disposing the connection unit 70 for providing the connection port 60 on the back surface side of the cover 6, the connection unit 70 can be disposed with efficient use of space without affecting the capacity and shape of the article storage portion 35. In addition, since the connection port 60 is directed upward of the vehicle body at a position closer to the occupant by opening the cover 6, the plug 100 can be easily inserted and removed, and the convenience is also improved. Further, by closing the cover 6, the connection port 60 can be protected from moisture, dust, or the like.

The external electronic device connected to the connection port 60 via the cord 101 (see fig. 3) can be charged not only while the vehicle is parked with being placed on the cover 6 but also while the vehicle is running with being stored in the article storage portion 35. Further, a recess or a through hole through which the cord 101 passes may be formed in the standing wall portion 48 in advance, whereby the cord 101 may be wired outside the article storage portion 35 and the lid 6 may be closed. This enables charging of an external electronic device, which is fixed to the handle bar 2a and functions as a navigation system or a display device for vehicle information, during traveling.

Fig. 7 is a rear view of the unit cover 50 to which the connection unit 70 is fixed, as viewed from the rear side of the vehicle body. Fig. 8 is a perspective view of the unit cover 50 to which the connection unit 70 is fixed. The arrows on the upper, lower, left, and right sides in the figure indicate the orientation of the motorcycle 1 with the lid 6 in the closed state.

The connection unit 70 is housed in the center portion 53 that protrudes toward the vehicle body front side with respect to the 1 st flange 52 and the 2 nd flange 52a, and is fixed to the cylindrical bosses 56 provided at the four corners of the center portion 53 by four screws 91. Since the terminal member 60a constituting the connection port 60 is disposed on the right side in the vehicle width direction of the connection unit 70, the connection port 60 is positioned on the center side of the vehicle body when the cover 6 is opened, and the plug 100 can be easily inserted and removed.

As described above, the wire harness 80 connected to the connecting unit 70 via the connector 82 is bent on the back side of the 2 nd flange 52a and guided downward of the vehicle body. The arm cover 51 is provided with a plate-like 1 st guide 57 and a semi-cylindrical 2 nd guide 59, wherein the plate-like 1 st guide 57 defines the position of the wire harness 80 along the longitudinal direction of the arm cover 51, and the semi-cylindrical 2 nd guide 59 functions as an outlet of the wire harness 80. With the 1 st guide 57 and the 2 nd guide 59, not only positioning of the wire harness 80 is facilitated when the cover 6 is assembled, but also the wire harness 80 is pulled to some extent when the cover 6 is opened and closed, the wiring position of the wire harness 80 can be maintained, and deformation can be absorbed by the bent portion located on the back side of the 2 nd flange 52a, and generation of bending stress or friction of the wire harness 80 can be suppressed.

In the above embodiment, the connection unit 70 is disposed on the vehicle body rear side of the cover 6 constituted by the base member 40 and the decorative plate 40a, and the connection unit 70 is covered with the unit cover 50, and the structure of the cover 6 can be variously modified as shown in fig. 9 and 10. Both the covers 6 and 200 shown below are attached to the vehicle body in the same manner as in the above embodiment.

Fig. 9 is a sectional view showing the structure of the lid 6 according to the modification of the present embodiment. The same reference numerals as those described above denote the same or equivalent parts. In the present modification, the cover 6 is formed by integrally molding the base member having the bent arm 41 and the decorative plate, thereby reducing the number of parts and the number of assembly steps. The connection unit 70 is fixed to the back surface side of the cover 6 and covered by the unit cover 50. In the present modification as well, in addition to the arm cover portion for protecting the wire harness 80 wired along the bent arm 41, for example, a through hole through which the wire harness 80 is inserted is provided inside the bent arm 41.

Fig. 10 is a sectional view showing the structure of the cap 200 according to embodiment 2. The feature of embodiment 2 is that the connection unit 70 is disposed inside the cover 200. Specifically, the cover 200 is constituted by a base member 202 having the bent arm 41 and a decorative plate 201 fixed to the base member 202, and the connecting unit 70 is disposed between the base member 202 and the decorative plate 201. In this configuration, the through hole 203 facing the connection port 60 is provided in the base member 202. In this configuration, the base member 202 functions as a unit cover for protecting the vehicle body front side of the connection unit 70, and the number of components and the number of assembly steps can be reduced.

The form of the motorcycle, the shape and arrangement of the cover, the shape and arrangement of the connection unit, the arrangement of the connection port, and the like are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications can be made. For example, the cover having the connection unit can be provided at various positions such as an instrument cover or a seat cover of a scooter type motorcycle, a side cover or a rear cover of a sport type motorcycle, and the like. The connection port is not limited to the USB standard, and may correspond to another standard.
