Disclosure of Invention

Technical problem to be solved by the invention

In addition, a notch portion (notch-shaped opening portion) for improving the attachment of the door glass to the door panel may be provided in the periphery of the window opening of the door inner panel. In this case, even if the opening is closed with a bracket member (cover member) as in the vehicle door structure described in patent document 1, there is a possibility that water entering the door panel (the space between the door inner panel and the door outer panel) may enter the vehicle compartment side from between the opening and the cover member.

The present disclosure provides a cover member and a cover member mounting structure that can suppress entry of water from an opening of a door inner panel to a vehicle compartment side.

Means for solving the problems

A first aspect of the present invention is a cover member that is plate-shaped, and that is attached to a door panel that rises in a predetermined direction in a state where a door inner space is defined by a door inner panel on a vehicle compartment side and a door outer panel on an outer side, and that closes an opening provided in the door inner panel from the vehicle compartment side, the cover member including a slit portion, a vehicle compartment side region, and a door inner region. The slit portion extends upward from the lower end edge of the cover member and is insertable into the lower opening edge of the opening portion of the door inner panel. The cabin-side region is located on one side in the predetermined direction with respect to the slit portion in the lower end portion of the cover member, and is disposed closer to the cabin side than the door inner panel. The door inner region is located on the other side in the predetermined direction with respect to the slit portion in the lower end portion of the cover member, and is disposed in the door inner space.

In the above configuration, since the region located on the other side in the predetermined direction (the door inner region) with respect to the slit portion in the lower end portion of the cover member is disposed in the door inner space, water flowing down the cover member in the other region in the predetermined direction of the cover member out of water flowing down the cover member in the door inner space flows down from the lower end of the cover member to below the door inner space, and does not enter the vehicle compartment side. Therefore, water can be prevented from entering the vehicle compartment side through the opening of the door inner panel.

Further, since the lower opening edge of the opening portion of the door inner panel can be inserted into the slit portion extending upward from the lower end edge of the cover member, when the opening portion of the door inner panel is closed by the cover member, the lower opening edge of the opening portion of the door inner panel can be inserted into the slit portion of the cover member, whereby the cover member can be easily positioned downward with respect to the opening portion of the door inner panel.

The invention according to claim 2 is the cover member according to claim 1, including a projection. The protrusion is disposed above the slit portion and protrudes toward the door inner space. The other end of the protrusion in the predetermined direction is disposed closer to the other side than the slit portion. At least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the projection portion is inclined from the one side in the predetermined direction to a lower side of the other side.

In the above configuration, the end portion on the other side in the predetermined direction of the protruding portion protruding toward the door inner space side above the slit portion is disposed on the other side of the slit portion, and at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the protruding portion is inclined downward from the one side in the predetermined direction to the other side. That is, at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the projection portion is inclined from above toward the door inner region side of the cover member. Therefore, in the case where the upper surface of the protruding portion is inclined toward the door inner region side of the cover member, water flowing down the door panel can be guided from the one side toward the door inner region side of the cover member along the upper surface of the protruding portion, and in the case where the lower surface of the protruding portion is inclined toward the door inner region side of the cover member, water flowing down the side surface of the one side of the protruding portion in the door panel can be guided toward the door inner region side of the cover member along the lower surface of the protruding portion after reaching the lower surface. In this way, water flowing down the door panel can be guided from the one side of the cover member to the door inner region side of the other side, and therefore, the entry of water flowing down the door panel on the vehicle compartment side from the opening of the door inner panel can be appropriately suppressed.

The 3 rd aspect of the present invention is a cover member attachment structure for attaching the cover member according to the 1 st or 2 nd aspect to a door panel having a door trim. The door trim is disposed closer to the vehicle compartment side than the door inner panel, and is fixed to the door inner panel. The cover member is mounted to the door panel by being sandwiched between the door inner panel and the door trim.

In the above configuration, since the cover member is sandwiched between the door inner panel and the door trim, the cover member can function as a seal member that prevents water from entering the vehicle compartment side.

The cover member is sandwiched between the door inner panel and the door trim, and is thereby attached to the door panel. Therefore, the number of components can be reduced as compared with a case where the cover member is attached to the peripheral edge portion of the opening portion of the door inner panel by another member (for example, butyl tape, a bolt, or the like).

The 4 th aspect of the present invention is a cover member mounting structure for mounting the cover member according to the 1 st or 2 nd aspect to a door panel, the door panel having a window opening, a glass run seat disposed in a door inner space and fixed to the door panel, and a glass run supported by the glass run seat. The opening of the door inner panel is provided in a notched shape from the window opening to the one side or the other side in the predetermined direction. The glass chute seat has an opening inner area extending in the vertical direction on the window opening side in the opening. The glass run has a cabin-side lip portion that covers an area inside an opening portion of the glass run seat from a cabin side. The cover member is sandwiched between the area inside the opening of the glass run seat and the cabin-side lip of the glass run, and is attached to the door panel.

In the above configuration, since the cover member is sandwiched between the inner region of the opening of the glass run seat and the vehicle compartment side lip of the glass run, the cover member can function as a seal member that prevents water from entering the vehicle compartment side.

The cover member is sandwiched between the inside area of the opening of the glass run seat and the cabin-side lip of the glass run, and is attached to the door panel. Therefore, for example, as compared with a case where the cover member is attached to the glass run channel base with a butyl tape or the like, the thickness of the attachment portion in the direction intersecting the door inner panel can be suppressed. In addition, the number of components can be reduced as compared with a case where the cover member is attached to the peripheral edge portion of the opening portion of the door inner panel by another member (for example, butyl tape, a bolt, or the like).

Effects of the invention

According to the present disclosure, water can be inhibited from entering the vehicle compartment side from the opening portion of the door inner panel.

Detailed Description

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. IN the drawings, FR denotes the front of the vehicle, UP denotes the upper side, and IN denotes the inside IN the vehicle width direction. In the following description, the front-rear direction refers to the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and the left-right direction refers to the left-right direction in a state of facing the front of the vehicle.

As shown in fig. 1A, 1B, and 2, the cover member mounting structure of the present embodiment is applied to a side door (door panel) 3 that can open and close a cabin 2 (see fig. 5) of a vehicle 1 to the outside. The side door 3 is erected in the front-rear direction (predetermined direction) while intersecting the vehicle width direction in a state where the side of the vehicle compartment 2 is closed. In the following description, the front-rear direction and the left-right direction of the side door 3 indicate the directions of the side door 3 in the closed state.

The side door 3 is formed in a closed cross-section shape by a door inner panel 4 on the vehicle compartment 2 side (inside in the vehicle width direction in the present embodiment) intersecting with the vehicle width direction and a door outer panel 5 on the outer side (inside in the vehicle width direction in the present embodiment) intersecting with the vehicle width direction. In a state where the outer peripheral edge portion of the door inner panel 4 and the outer peripheral edge portion of the door outer panel 5 are fixed to each other, a door inner space 9 (see fig. 5) is defined between the door inner panel 4 and the door outer panel 5. A door trim 6 as a decorative member is attached to the vehicle width direction inner side (the vehicle compartment 2 side) of the door inner panel 4. A window opening 7 is formed in an upper portion of the side door 3. The window opening 7 can be opened and closed by a window glass 8, and the window glass 8 is supported by a window lift mechanism (not shown) in the door inner space 9 so as to be able to move up and down. A glass run 12 for guiding the window glass 8 that is raised and lowered is provided in a peripheral edge portion of the window opening 7, and a glass run seat 13 for supporting the glass run 12 is provided in the door inner space 9 in the peripheral edge portion of the window opening 7 (see fig. 3A).

As shown in fig. 3A, a notch portion (opening portion) 14 cut out rearward from a rear edge 16 of the window opening 7 is formed in the door inner panel 4 rearward of the window opening 7. The cutout portion 14 is provided to improve workability when the window glass 8 is inserted into the door inner space 9 (see fig. 5) below from the lower edge 15 side of the window opening 7. The cutout portion 14 includes an opening lower edge (lower opening edge) 14a extending rearward along a lower edge 15 of the window opening 7, an opening upper edge 14b extending rearward from a rear edge 16 of the window opening 7 above the opening lower edge 14a, and an opening rear edge 14c extending in the vertical direction between a rear end of the opening lower edge 14a and a rear end of the opening upper edge 14 b. A partial region 20 (hereinafter referred to as "in-opening region 20") of the glass run channel 13 having a U-shaped cross section (see fig. 5) that opens forward extends in the vertical direction on the window opening 7 side (front side in the present embodiment) in the notch 14. A 1 st bracket 17 is fixed to a region above the opening upper edge 14b of the notch portion 14 in the door inner panel 4, and the 1 st bracket 17 supports the glass run channel 13 in a state where the glass run channel 13 is pressed from the inside in the vehicle width direction. A 2 nd bracket 18 for fixing the door trim 6 is disposed at a substantially central portion in the vertical direction in the notch portion 14. The 2 nd bracket 18 is provided with a clip attachment portion 28 to which a clip (not shown) on the door trim 6 side can be attached. In a state (a state shown in fig. 3A) before a cover member 10 described later for closing the notched portion 14 is attached to the door inner panel 4, the notched portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 is opened inward in the vehicle width direction. As shown in fig. 2 and 3B, the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 is closed by the cover member 10 from the inside in the vehicle width direction.

As shown in fig. 3B and 4, the cover member 10 is formed in a substantially plate shape from a flexible porous material (for example, a sponge material having discontinuous bubbles). The cover member 10 is disposed at a predetermined mounting position of the side door 3 before the door trim 6 is mounted, as described later, and is supported (sandwiched) by the door trim 6, the glass run 12, and the like, and is mounted to the side door 3. In the cover-mounted state in which the cover member 10 is mounted to the side door 3, the cover member 10 closes the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4, prevents water from entering from the door inner space 9 to the vehicle compartment 2 side or dust from entering, and suppresses transmission of noise from the door inner space 9 to the vehicle compartment 2 side.

As shown in fig. 3A, 3B, and 4, the cover member 10 has a cover lower end portion 19a, a cover upper end portion 19B, a cover rear end portion 19c, and a cover front end portion 19 d. In the cover attached state, the cover upper end portion 19b extends upward beyond the opening upper edge 14b of the cutout portion 14 and contacts the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4. In the cover mounted state, the cover rear end portion 19c extends rearward from the opening rear edge 14c of the cutout portion 14 and contacts the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4. The cover lower end portion 19a extends downward from the opening lower edge 14a of the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 in the cover attached state. A slit portion 24 extending upward from the lower end edge 23 of the cover member 10 is formed at the cover lower end portion 19 a. That is, the cover lower end portion 19a has a slit rear region (cabin side region) 25 rearward (on one side) of the slit portion 24 and a slit front region (door inner region) 26 forward (on the other side) of the slit portion 24. In the present embodiment, the length L1 in the front-rear direction of the slit front region 26 is set to be longer than the length L2 in the front-rear direction of the slit rear region 25 (L1> L2). When the cover member 10 is attached to the door inner panel 4, the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 is inserted into the slit portion 24 of the cover lower end portion 19a from below, and abuts against the upper end 24a of the slit portion 24. In a state where the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 is inserted into the slit portion 24 of the hood lower end portion 19a, the slit rear region 25 of the hood lower end portion 19a is disposed on the vehicle width direction inner side (the vehicle compartment 2 side) of the door inner panel 4, and the slit front region 26 of the hood lower end portion 19a is disposed in the door inner space 9 on the vehicle width direction outer side of the door inner panel 4.

As shown in fig. 4 to 6, in a region 27 surrounded by the cover lower end portion 19a, the cover upper end portion 19b, the cover rear end portion 19c, and the cover front end portion 19d of the cover member 10, a clip insertion hole 29, an upper side protruding portion (protruding portion) 30, and a lower side protruding portion (protruding portion) 31 are formed, the upper side protruding portion (protruding portion) 30 being disposed above the clip insertion hole 29 and protruding outward in the vehicle width direction, and the lower side protruding portion (protruding portion) 31 being disposed below the clip insertion hole 29 and protruding outward in the vehicle width direction. The clip insertion hole 29 is disposed at a position corresponding to the clip attachment portion 28 of the 2 nd bracket 18 in the cover attached state, and allows insertion of a clip (not shown) on the door trim 6 side. The upper protruding portion 30 has a rectangular box-shaped portion 30a that opens inward in the vehicle width direction, and a linear portion 30b that extends upward from the box-shaped portion 30 a. The front surface (the other end) 33 of the box-shaped portion 30a is disposed in the vicinity of the rear surface 32 of the opening inner region 20 of the glass run channel base 13 in the cover attached state, faces the rear surface 32, and extends in the vertical direction along the extending direction of the glass run channel base 13. The rear surface 47 of the box-shaped portion 30a is disposed in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 in the cover attached state, and extends in the vertical direction along the extending direction of the opening rear edge 14 c. The linear portion 30b includes a 1 st linear portion 34 extending upward from the rear upper end of the box-shaped portion 30a and a 2 nd linear portion 35 extending forward from the upper end of the 1 st linear portion 34. The 1 st linear portion 34 extends in the vertical direction in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4, and the upper end of the 1 st linear portion 34 is disposed in the vicinity of the lower side of the opening upper edge 14b of the cutout portion 14. The 2 nd linear portion 35 is disposed in the vicinity of the lower portion of the opening upper edge 14b of the cutout portion 14, and extends in the front-rear direction along the extending direction of the opening upper edge 14 b. The lower protruding portion 31 is formed in a box shape having a substantially rhombic cross section and opened inward in the vehicle width direction. The front surface (the other end) 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 is disposed in the vicinity of the rear surface 32 of the opening inner region 20 of the glass run channel base 13 in the cover attached state, faces the rear surface 32, and extends in the vertical direction along the extending direction of the glass run channel base 13. The rear surface 37 of the lower projecting portion 31 is disposed in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 in the cover attached state, and extends in the vertical direction along the extending direction of the opening rear edge 14 c. The front surface 33 of the box-shaped portion 30a of the upper protruding portion 30 and the front surface 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 are arranged forward of the slit portion 24. The upper surface 38 and the lower surface 39 of the lower protruding portion 31 linearly extend from the upper rear to the lower front, and are inclined with respect to the front-rear horizontal direction.

The glass run 12 has a glass entrance recess 40 into which the rear end portion of the window glass 8 enters, an outer side lip 41 that extends rearward outward in the vehicle width direction from a front end portion on the vehicle width direction outer side of the glass entrance recess 40 and covers the front end edge portion of the door outer panel 5 from the vehicle width direction outer side, and a cabin side lip 42 that extends rearward inward in the vehicle width direction from a front end portion on the vehicle width direction inner side of the glass entrance recess 40 and covers the vehicle width direction inner side surface 22 on the front end side of the glass run seat 13 from the vehicle width direction inner side. Further, a pair of left and right seal lips 43, 44 that contact the window glass 8 from both sides in the vehicle width direction are provided in the glass entrance recessed portion 40.

In the side door 3 before the cover member 10 and the door trim 6 are attached, the door inner panel 4 and the door outer panel 5 are joined to each other, the window glass 8 is disposed in the door inner space 9, the glass run channel seat 13 and the glass run channel 12 are provided at the peripheral edge portion of the window opening 7, and the notched portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 is opened inward in the vehicle width direction.

When the cover member 10 is mounted to the side door 3, first, the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 is inserted into the slit portion 24 of the cover member 10 from below, and the opening lower edge 14a is brought into contact with the upper end 24a of the slit portion 24, so that the slit rear region 25 of the cover member 10 is disposed on the vehicle width direction inner side of the door inner panel 4, and the slit front region 26 is disposed in the door inner space 9 on the vehicle width direction outer side of the door inner panel 4. Next, the upper side protruding portion 30 and the lower side protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 are inserted from the vehicle width direction inner side between the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 and the rear surface 32 of the opening inner region 20 of the glass run channel seat 13. In this state, the cover member 10 is disposed in the predetermined mounting arrangement, and in this state, the front surface 33 of the box-like portion 30a of the upper protruding portion 30 and the front surface 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 are disposed in the vicinity of the rear surface 32 of the area 20 inside the opening of the glass run channel holder 13, the rear surface 47 of the box-like portion 30a and the rear surface 37 of the lower protruding portion 31 are disposed in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the cutaway portion 14, the 1 st linear portion 34 of the upper soil 30 is disposed in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the cutaway portion 14, and the 2 nd linear portion 35 of the upper protruding portion 30 is disposed in the vicinity of the lower of the opening upper edge 14b of the cutaway portion 14. Next, substantially the entire vertical region of the cover distal end portion 19d of the cover member 10 is sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 22 of the glass run seat 13 and the cabin side lip portion 42 of the glass run 12. At this time, the cover member 10 is sandwiched at least between the glass run seat 13 and the cabin-side lip 42 of the glass run 12, and is attached to the side door 3. Finally, a clip (not shown) on the door trim 6 side is inserted into the clip insertion hole 29 of the cover member 10 from the vehicle width direction inner side, and is locked to the clip attachment portion 28 of the 2 nd bracket 18. In a state where the door trim 6 is mounted to the side door 3, at least a partial region (for example, a region shown in a cross-sectional view in fig. 5) of the hood rear end portion 19c of the hood member 10 is pressed toward the door inner panel 4 side (vehicle width direction outer side) by the hood pressing portion 6a provided in the door trim 6, and is sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4 and the hood pressing portion 6a of the door trim 6. That is, in the present embodiment, the cover member 10 is sandwiched between the glass run seat 13 and the cabin side lip 42 of the glass run 12, and between the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6, and is attached to the side door 3. The cover pressing portion 6a of the door trim 6 faces the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4 on the vehicle width direction inner side of the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4.

In the cover member 10 configured as described above, since the slit front region 26 of the cover member 10 is disposed in the door inner space 9 on the vehicle width direction outer side of the door inner panel 4, when water enters the door inner space 9, water flowing down the front side of the slit portion 24 out of water flowing down the surface 45 of the door inner space 9 of the cover member 10 reaches the slit front region 26 and flows down below the door inner space 9 from the lower end edge 23 of the slit front region 26. Therefore, since water does not enter the vehicle compartment 2, water can be prevented from entering the vehicle compartment 2 from the notch 14 of the door inner panel 4.

The front surface 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 is arranged forward of the slit portion 24, and the upper surface 38 of the lower protruding portion 31 is inclined from the upper rear to the lower front. Therefore, the water flowing down in the door inner space 9 and reaching the upper surface 38 of the lower protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 can be guided along the upper surface 38 of the lower protruding portion 31 toward the slit front region 26, and therefore, the entry of water from the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 toward the vehicle compartment 2 can be appropriately suppressed.

The front surface 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 is disposed forward of the slit portion 24, and the lower surface 39 of the lower protruding portion 31 is inclined downward from the rear upward side to the front downward side. Therefore, the water flowing down along the rear surface 37 of the lower protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 in the door inner space 9 and reaching the lower surface 39 of the cover member 10 can be guided along the lower surface 39 of the lower protruding portion 31 toward the front slit front region 26 side, and therefore, the entry of water from the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 toward the vehicle compartment 2 can be appropriately suppressed.

Further, since the cover distal end portion 19d of the cover member 10 is sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 22 of the glass run seat 13 and the cabin side lip portion 42 of the glass run 12, the cover member 10 can be made to function as a seal member that prevents water from entering the cabin 2 side.

Further, since a partial region (for example, a region shown in a cross section in fig. 5) of the cover rear end portion 19c of the cover member 10 is sandwiched between the door trim 6 and the door inner panel 4, the region sandwiched between the door trim 6 and the door inner panel 4 in the cover rear end portion 19c of the cover member 10 can function as a seal member that prevents water from entering the vehicle compartment 2 side.

Further, since the cover member 10 is formed of a flexible porous material, it can effectively function as a seal member that prevents water from entering the vehicle compartment 2 side.

Therefore, according to the present embodiment, water can be prevented from entering the vehicle compartment 2 side from the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4.

Further, when the cover member 10 is mounted to the side door 3, the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 is inserted into the slit portion 24 of the cover member 10 from below, and the opening lower edge 14a is brought into contact with the upper end 24a of the slit portion 24, so that the cover member 10 can be easily positioned downward with respect to the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4.

Further, in the state where the cover member 10 is disposed at the predetermined mounting position, since the box-shaped portion 30a of the upper protruding portion 30 and the front surfaces 33 and 36 of the lower protruding portion 31 are disposed in the vicinity of the rear surface 32 of the opening-inside region 20 of the glass run channel holder 13 in the rear direction, the cover member 10 can be easily positioned forward with respect to the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4.

Further, since the rear surface 47 of the upper side projecting portion 30 and the rear surface 37 of the lower side projecting portion 31 are disposed in the vicinity of the front of the opening rear edge 14c of the notched portion 14, the cover member 10 can be easily positioned rearward with respect to the notched portion 14 of the door inner panel 4.

Further, since the 2 nd linear portion 35 of the upper protruding portion 30 is disposed in the vicinity of the lower portion of the opening upper edge 14b of the cutout portion 14, the cover member 10 can be easily positioned upward with respect to the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4.

The cover member 10 is sandwiched between the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6, and is attached to the side door 3. Therefore, the number of components can be reduced as compared with a case where the cover member 10 is attached to the peripheral edge portion of the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4 by another member (for example, butyl tape, a bolt, or the like).

The cover member 10 is sandwiched between the glass run seat 13 and the cabin-side lip 42 of the glass run 12, and is attached to the side door 3. Since the thickness of the cabin side lip portion 42 of the glass run 12 in the vehicle width direction is smaller than that of the butyl tape, the thickness of the cover distal end portion 19d of the cover member 10 in the vehicle width direction of the attachment portion of the glass run seat 13 can be suppressed as compared with a case where the cover member 10 is attached to the glass run seat 13 with a butyl tape or the like, for example. In addition, the number of components can be reduced as compared with a case where the cover member 10 is attached to the glass run seat 13 by another member (for example, butyl tape, a bolt, or the like).

In the present embodiment, a part of the vertical region (for example, the region shown in the cross section in fig. 5) of the cover rear end portion 19c of the cover member 10 is sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6, but substantially the entire vertical region of the cover rear end portion 19c may be sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 4a of the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6.

In the present embodiment, substantially the entire region of the cover distal end portion 19d of the cover member 10 in the vertical direction is sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 22 of the glass run 13 and the cabin side lip portion 42 of the glass run 12, but a partial region of the cover distal end portion 19d in the vertical direction may be sandwiched between the vehicle width direction inner side surface 22 of the glass run 13 and the cabin side lip portion 42 of the glass run 12.

In the present embodiment, the cover member 10 is mounted to the side door 3 by being sandwiched between the glass run channel seat 13 and the cabin side lip 42 of the glass run channel 12 and between the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the cover member 10 may be mounted to the side door 3 by being sandwiched between the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6 without being sandwiched between the glass run channel seat 13 and the cabin-side lip 42 of the glass run channel 12, or may be mounted to the side door 3 by being sandwiched between the glass run channel seat 13 and the cabin-side lip 42 of the glass run channel 12 without being sandwiched between the door inner panel 4 and the door trim 6. Alternatively, the cover member 10 may be attached to the side door 3 by another structure (for example, screw fixation, clip fixation, adhesion, or the like) different from the above-described structure.

In the present embodiment, when the cover member 10 is mounted to the side door 3, the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 is first inserted into the slit portion 24 of the cover member 10 from below, and then the upper side protruding portion 30 and the lower side protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 are inserted into the door inner space 9 from the cutout portion 14 of the door inner panel 4, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the upper side projecting portion 30 and the lower side projecting portion 31 of the cover member 10 may be first inserted into the door inner space 9 from the notch portion 14 of the door inner panel 4, and then the opening lower edge 14a of the door inner panel 4 may be inserted into the slit portion 24 of the cover member 10 from below.

In the present embodiment, both the upper surface 38 and the lower surface 39 of the lower protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 are inclined from the rear upper side to the front lower side, but the present invention is not limited to this, and either one of the upper surface 38 and the lower surface 39 may be inclined from the rear upper side to the front lower side, or both the upper surface 38 and the lower surface 39 may not be inclined in the front-rear direction.

In the present embodiment, the lower side protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 is formed in a box shape having a substantially rhombic cross section and opening inward in the vehicle width direction, but is not limited to this, and may be, for example, a linear rib (protruding portion) that protrudes outward in the vehicle width direction and linearly extends in a state of being inclined from the upper rear to the lower front.

In the present embodiment, the box-shaped portion 30a and the linear portion 30b are provided in the upper protruding portion 30 of the cover member 10, but only one of them may be provided. In addition, at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the box-shaped portion 30a of the upper protruding portion 30 may be inclined from the rear upper side to the front lower side.

In the present embodiment, the slit rear region (cabin-side region) 25 of the cover member 10 is disposed on the vehicle width direction inner side of the door inner panel 4, and the slit front region (door inner region) 26 is disposed in the door inner space 9 on the vehicle width direction outer side of the door inner panel 4, but the slit rear region 25 may be disposed in the door inner space 9 on the vehicle width direction outer side of the door inner panel 4, and the slit front region 26 may be disposed on the vehicle width direction inner side of the door inner panel 4. In this case, at least one of the upper surface 38 and the lower surface 39 of the lower protruding portion 31 of the cover member 10 may be inclined from the front upper side to the rear lower side.

In the present embodiment, the clip insertion hole 29 is provided in the cover member 10, but the clip insertion hole 29 may not be provided.

In the present embodiment, the upper protruding portion 30 and the lower protruding portion 31 are provided on the cover member 10, but the upper protruding portion 30 and the lower protruding portion 31 may not be provided.

In the present embodiment, the cover member 10 is formed of a flexible porous material, but is not limited thereto, and may be formed of another material (for example, a resin panel or the like).

In the present embodiment, the notch portion (opening portion) 14 behind the window opening 7 of the door inner panel 4 is closed by the cover member 10, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, when a cutout (opening) is provided in front of the window opening 7, the cutout may be closed by the cover member 10, or when an opening is provided at a position separated from the window opening 7 in the door inner panel 4, the opening may be closed by the cover member 10. In these cases, the cover member 10 for closing the opening portion may have the slit portion 24 at least at the cover lower end portion 19a, and may be arranged such that one of the slit rear region 25 and the slit front region 26 is arranged on the vehicle compartment 2 side and the other is arranged on the door inner space 9 side.

The present invention has been described above based on the above embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the contents of the above embodiments, and it goes without saying that modifications can be made as appropriate without departing from the scope of the present invention. That is, it is needless to say that other embodiments, examples, operation techniques, and the like completed by those skilled in the art based on this embodiment are all included in the scope of the present invention.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, the cover member 10 and the cover member attachment structure of the present disclosure are applied to the side door (door panel) 3 of the vehicle 1, but may be applied to a back door (door panel) that extends in the vehicle width direction (predetermined direction) and can open the cabin 2 of the vehicle 1 rearward.

The present application is based on the japanese patent application filed on 3/13/2019 (japanese application 2019-.
