1. A vehicle seat arrangement for a motor vehicle, having

-a backrest (12),

-a seat cushion (13),

-at least one airbag module arranged on a lateral side of the backrest (12) and/or seat cushion (13) and comprising at least one airbag (14), wherein the airbag (14) is made of a first layer (10) and a second layer (11), the first layer (10) facing the occupant when the airbag (14) is inflated, and

-a tether mechanism for the airbag module, which tether mechanism comprises at least one tether arrangement (8), which tether arrangement (8) is fixed at least to the airbag (14) and in addition to the seat cushion (13) and/or the backrest (12), characterized in that,

-the first layer (10) and the second layer (111) of the airbag have the same shape and are connected to each other at least on the periphery, and in that

-the airbag (14) has a first segment (1) connected to the backrest (12) and/or seat cushion (13) and a second segment (2), wherein in a deployed but uninflated state of the airbag (14) the second segment (2) is at least partially folded onto the first segment (1), forming a first fold line (3).

2. The vehicle seat arrangement according to claim 1, wherein an end (5) of the second segment (2) is connected to the first segment (1).

The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the second segment (2) comprises a first sub-segment (2.1) and a second sub-segment (2.2), wherein in a deployed but uninflated state of the airbag (14), the second sub-segment (2.2) is folded onto the first sub-segment (2.1), forming a second fold line (4).

4. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the first layer (10) is connected to itself within the first segment (1), preferably along a vertically extending bending line (15).

5. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the second fold line (4) is connected to the first layer (10) within the first segment (1).

Vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein in the inflated state of the airbag (14) the first segment (1) is positioned transversely to the passenger and in front of the shoulder of the passenger, and wherein the second segment (2) is positioned in front of the chest and/or the head of the passenger.

Vehicle seat arrangement according to claim 6, wherein a first sub-portion (1.1) of the first segment (1) is positioned transverse to the passenger, a second sub-portion (1.2) of the first segment (1) is positioned in front of the shoulder of the passenger, and wherein the second sub-segment (2.2) of the second segment (2) is positioned in front of the chest and/or the head of the passenger, the first sub-segment (2.1) of the second segment (2) joining the second sub-portion (1.2) of the first segment (1) with the second sub-segment (2.2) of the second segment (2).

8. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the first layer (10) and the second layer (11) are connected to each other within the first segment (1) so as to form an arm receiving area (7).

9. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the tether arrangement (8) is fixed to the airbag (14), one end being fixed to the seat cushion (13) and the other end being fixed to the backrest (12).

The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a tether mechanism comprises at least one second tether arrangement (8), the second tether arrangement (8) being fixed to the airbag (14), one end being fixed to the seat cushion (13) and the other end being fixed to the backrest (12).

11. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the first layer (10) and the second layer (11) are connected to each other at a location where the tether arrangement (8) is fixed to the airbag (14).

12. Vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one tether (8) of a tether arrangement is fixed to the second segment (2), preferably to the first sub-segment (2.1) of the second segment (2).

13. The vehicle seat arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein two airbag modules are implemented, wherein the two airbag modules are arranged on opposite sides of the backrest (13).
