The drop arm is an important force transmission component in a steering system, and the service performance of an automobile can be influenced by the maintenance of the drop arm.

The purpose of the invention is: the axial positioning assembly is rusted due to the fact that the vertical arm is in a severe vehicle using environment, so that the vertical arm is difficult to disassemble and even cannot be disassembled during later maintenance.

In this embodiment, the inner side wall of the sealing cover 4 is provided with a plurality of axial ribs 41 which extend and protrude along the axial direction of the sealing cover 4, and when the sealing cover 4 is covered on the outer side of the drop arm positioning assembly 3, the sealing cover 4 can abut against the outer peripheral surface of the drop arm gasket 31 through the axial ribs 41, so that the sealing cover 4 and the drop arm gasket 31 form interference fit, the radial looseness of the sealing cover 4 is effectively prevented, and the sealing performance is ensured; specifically, the plurality of axial ribs 41 are uniformly arranged along the circumferential direction of the seal cover 4, so that the seal cover 4 and the drop arm gasket 31 are uniformly stressed when being installed in a matched mode.

Further, the inner side wall of the sealing cover 4 is provided with radial ribs 42 which extend and protrude along the circumferential direction of the sealing cover 4, the sealing cover 4 is clamped with the drop arm gasket 31 through the radial ribs 42, specifically, in this embodiment, the number of the radial ribs 42 is multiple, the radial ribs 42 are uniformly distributed along the circumferential direction of the sealing cover 4 at intervals, and the radial ribs 42 are clamped at the chamfer 310 of the drop arm gasket 31; the axial ribs 41 and the radial ribs 42 are arranged alternately in the axial direction of the seal housing 4.

Furthermore, the sealing cover 4 in this embodiment is made of PP + EPDM (polypropylene + EPDM rubber), which has excellent waterproof, heat-resistant, and aging-resistant properties, and the molded sealing cover 4 can have a certain elastic deformation, and the sealing property still meets the use requirement after multiple times of mounting, dismounting and clamping.

In conclusion, the automobile and the vertical arm mechanism thereof provided by the invention can prevent sediment, water and other substances in the environment from contacting with the vertical arm positioning assembly, so that the problem that the vertical arm positioning assembly is polluted and rusted to cause difficulty in disassembly and maintenance is avoided; in addition, the connection is not needed through bolts or screws, so that the sealing cover is prevented from being difficult to disassemble after the bolts or screws are rusted, the use requirement can be still met after the bolts or screws are disassembled and assembled for many times, the plumbing arm positioning assembly is protected from rusting, and the service life is prolonged; finally, the maintenance cost of the automobile is reduced, and the driving safety and stability of the automobile are improved.
