A turboprop comprising a propeller, a propeller support shaft (3), a generator (9) positioned around the propeller support shaft (3), a casing (5) surrounding the propeller support shaft and surrounding the generator (9) and carrying a stator (12) of the generator, characterized in that the casing (5) surrounding the generator also carries shaft end support bearings (17, 18), a rotor (10) of the generator being supported by a shaft end (16), and in that the casing comprises a removable end plate (20) carrying one of said bearings (18) and extending perpendicularly to the propeller support shaft, and in that when the end plate is removed, an opening with a radius larger than that of the generator is exposed in the casing.

2. Turboprop according to claim 1, characterized in that the casing (5) is conical (15) around the generator (9).

3. Turboprop according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it comprises a rotational speed converter (25) extending as far as the propeller support shaft (3) and connected to the shaft end (16).

Turboprop according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the generator is housed between a supporting roller bearing (6) of a propeller supporting shaft passing through the casing (5) and a toothed driving wheel (8) of said propeller supporting shaft (3) passing through a turbine shaft (4) of the turboprop.

5. Turboprop according to any one of claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the shaft end (16) comprises an end (22) separated from the rotor (10) by a bearing (18) supporting the shaft end, and a connector (24) connected to a rotational speed converter (25) of the end.

6. The turboprop according to claim 5, characterized in that said end portion comprises a system (22) for decoupling said connector (24) from said generator (9).

7. The turboprop according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the generator is housed in a chamber containing at least one roller bearing lubricated by oil circulation.

8. The turboprop according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the casing (5) has ribs (28) around the generator (9).
