in the event that the detection means on the vehicle detects that a collision of the vehicle with a pedestrian is unavoidable, the external source drive means provides an upward force to the rear end of the hood in response to a signal from the detection means at the time of an imminent collision accident with the pedestrian, and the rear end of the hood is lifted upward so that the hood rotates about the front-end contact point of the hood with the engine compartment. At this time, the latch hook is subjected to a downward constraining force of the latch device fixed on the vehicle body, and the latch hook mounting plate connected with the inner panel of the engine hood is also subjected to a downward pulling force of the latch hook, so that the latch hook and the latch hook mounting plate are locked by the latch device and are kept at the original positions, and the inner panel of the engine hood rotates upwards. Like this, latch hook mounting panel exerts pressure to the fender tooth on the engine bonnet inner panel, leads to keeping off the tooth and being buckled and can not block the rotation of engine bonnet inner panel, and the engine bonnet inner panel passes the latch hook mounting panel at the opening part and continues to rotate certain angle for distance and space grow between the hard engine part in engine bonnet and the engine compartment provide more buffer space for the front end of vehicle and pedestrian's collision, alleviate the injury of vehicle to the pedestrian. Wherein, latch hook mounting panel and engine bonnet inner panel keep being connected in one end, avoid the engine bonnet front end to break away from the automobile body, avoid secondary collision such as pedestrian, take place the secondary accident.
