Background

Currently, in automotive transmission systems, half shafts and hubs are assembled together to achieve the function of transmitting torque. However, due to the clearance of spline fit and the rigidity of the handle part of the half shaft, friction is generated between the end surface of the hub and the end surface of the outer star wheel part of the half shaft, and the abnormal sound of start and stop is easily generated under the condition, so that the comfort of the whole vehicle is affected.

In view of the above problems, the prior art provides several solutions, each of which has certain problems.

1. There is a scheme of coating Molycote (lubricating grease): coating Molycote on the end face of the outer star wheel part of the half shaft; however, Molycote is easily worn and the moist environment easily affects the adhesion, thereby reducing the noise reduction effect.

2. In order to achieve the purpose, the invention provides a starting and stopping abnormal sound preventing half shaft which comprises an outer star wheel part and a handle part, wherein the handle part extends axially from the end part of the outer star wheel part integrally, the outer star wheel part is provided with a matching end surface used for being in contact fit with a hub surface, the handle part is used for being in spline fit with the hub, and the surface, facing to the hub, of the matching end surface is coated with a low-friction coating.

Further, the outer peripheral surface of the handle portion is provided with an external spline, and the external spline comprises a plurality of tooth portions which are distributed at intervals along the circumferential direction of the handle portion.
