A gear pump in the JST-2 speed regulator rotates at a high speed to provide variable-pitch high-pressure oil for a forward variable-pitch propeller. In order to ensure that the propeller has a small-distance limiting function, a small-distance stopping mechanism, namely a fixed-distance protection mechanism needs to be arranged, when the propeller changes from feathering to small distance to a certain blade angle alpha, the propeller stops at about 18 degrees of the small-distance angle, and the small distance cannot be changed continuously, namely the propeller stops at a preset blade angle, so that the propeller is prevented from flying and rotating, and the flight safety is influenced. The front propeller is protected at a fixed distance by adopting a terminal surface tooth meshing mechanism, the terminal surface tooth meshing mechanism is complex in structure, the size and the weight of the propeller are increased, and the using requirements of aircrafts such as airplanes and the like cannot be met.

When the blade angle of the propeller is reduced to alpha angle, the piston of the propeller drives the boss of the piston to abut against the small-distance stop nut on the variable-distance rod, the propeller continues to be reduced in distance, the piston drives the small-distance stop nut, the variable-distance rod and the low-distance stop ring to move together in the small-distance direction, the low-distance stop ring drives the carbon block assembly to move, the beta valve moves under the action of the movement of the carbon block and the elastic force of the return spring, and the boss on the beta valve closes the oil circuit, so that the blade angle of the propeller is automatically maintained at a certain blade angle. The invention realizes the distance protection function by arranging the propeller control oil circuit, only the beta valve is provided with a structure for sensing the change of the small pitch angle of the propeller, once the variable pitch of the propeller reaches the small pitch angle, the beta valve moves to block the small pitch oil inlet of the propeller, so that the propeller is spaced and the protection function is achieved. The invention has simple structure, light weight, small volume and high protection reliability, and completely meets the requirement of the propeller on light development.

As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment includes three (two, four, etc., preferably three) pitch rods 7, a support plate 16, a guide sleeve assembly 17, a spring 20, a guide snap ring 8, a low-distance stop ring 15 with a U-shaped ring groove 21 on the outer circle, a small-distance stop nut 10, a piston boss 9, a rod end ring 13, a carbon block assembly 19 of a propeller 6, and a beta valve assembly 5 of a governor 1.
