Technical Field

The present invention relates to a system for circulating air through a double pipe for supplying gas such as LNG that is dangerous when leaked from a ship, and a method for circulating air using the same.

Background

A double Pipe (double wall Pipe) is used in ships and offshore structures handling gas that pay attention to safety of LNG and the like to prevent leakage of LNG.

In the case of a ship or an offshore structure in which a reliquefaction device for boil-off gas or a high-pressure natural gas injection engine such as an ME-GI engine is mounted on an LNG carrier or the like, since LNG or the like should not leak in a safe area such as an engine room where the device is installed, a double Pipe is provided, and even if the LNG to be transported leaks from an Inner Pipe (Inner Pipe), double shutoff can be performed by the Outer Pipe (Outer Pipe).

With such an outer duct, circulation of air is always maintained when an engine or the like is started, and in order to sense corrosion contamination or leakage of gas due to condensed water, it is necessary to always be able to exchange dry air 30 times per hour.

The air thus circulated is discharged to the outside of the ship or to an area without risk of fire.

In order to perform air circulation through the outer duct of such a double duct, conventionally, a Fan (Fan) capable of generating and supplying dry air through the outer duct of the double duct and sucking air to enable air circulation is provided.

However, in the case of such a fan for air circulation, there are disadvantages in that it is expensive and power consumption is serious.

Furthermore, since it is an electrical device, it must also be configured with an explosion-proof design.

Detailed Description

For a fuller understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and the objects attained by its practice, reference should be made to the drawings which illustrate a preferred embodiment of the invention and to the accompanying descriptive matter.

Fig. 1 shows an air circulation system according to an th embodiment of the invention.

Hereinafter, an air circulation system according to an th embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1.

An air circulation system according to embodiment of the present invention is a system that circulates gas by means of two pipelines disposed on a ship and an offshore structure that handle gas such as LNG.

For this, the air circulation system includes a double pipe (110), a gas supply part (120), an air supply part (130), an air suction device, and the like.

The double pipe (110) has a double structure of an inner pipe (111) and an outer pipe (112) and is disposed in a safe area (S) where the gas processing apparatus (A) is disposed for safely transporting gas or the like containing a risk of leakage.

The gas treatment device (a), which is a device that treats gas or uses gas as fuel, may be a reliquefaction device or an ME-GI engine, etc., and the ME-GI engine is shown as an example thereof in the embodiment of the present invention, and an engine room where the ME-GI engine is disposed is a safety area (S).

The gas supply section (120) supplies gas to the gas processing device (a) through a gas supply line (121), and the gas supply line (121) may be connected to the double pipe (110) to supply gas through an inner pipe (111) of the double pipe.

A main gas valve (122) is provided in the gas supply line (121), and the supply and interruption of the gas are controlled by the control of a control unit (190).

In order to protect the inner pipe (111) and to sense the leakage of gas, air is circulated in the outer pipe (112), and the air is supplied through the air supply part (130).

The air supplied from the air supply unit (130) flows into the outer duct (112) of the double duct through an air supply line (131).

The air flowing into the outer duct 112 of the double duct is dry air decompressed to about 5bar close to the atmospheric pressure, and a pressure regulating valve 132 is provided to the air supply line 131 to regulate the pressure.

Further, a flow sensor (133) for sensing circulation of air is provided on the air supply line (131), and when it is confirmed by the flow sensor (133) that air is continuously supplied to the outer duct (112), the control section (190) determines that the gas processing device (a) is ready to be activated, and controls the gas supply section (120) and the main gas valve (122) to supply gas.

The circulated air is flowed out through the air outflow line (141), and a gas sensor (142) is provided on the air outflow line (141), thereby sensing leakage of gas in the inner pipe (111), and when the leakage of gas is sensed, the gas purge valve (182) is controlled to enable the gas to be stably discharged through the gas purge line (181) connected to the double pipe (110).

An air suction device is provided on the air outflow line (141), and air supplied to the outer duct (112) may be sucked into the air outflow line (141) as a high-pressure fluid flows in through an additional line.

In the th embodiment of the invention, the air suction device is adapted with a Water Ejector (151) (Water Ejector) that sucks air on the outside pipe (112) with inflow of high-pressure Water, and sucks air therethrough during switching of high-pressure and large-volume Water at low pressure and fast speed to generate vacuum.

In the case of using the water ejector (151), since the density of high-pressure water is high, a large amount of air having a low relative density can be sucked.

Water used in seawater cooling systems provided on ships and marine structures may flow into such water spargers (151).

That is, the cooling water is cooled in the cooler (C) by the water supplied from the subsea valve box (S) by the pump (P), and the circulated water can flow into the water injector (151).

The water flowing into the water sprayer (151) in this way is discharged overboard through the discharge line (161) after passing through the water sprayer (151), and the pressure gauge (162) is formed on the discharge line (161), so that it is possible to measure whether the water sprayer (151) is normally activated or not.

Further, a discharge control valve 163 may be disposed on the th discharge line 161, thereby allowing the control part 190 to control a discharge pressure according to the discharge pressure on the th discharge line 161 sensed by a pressure gauge 162.

In the case of ships, the discharge pressure is important to be able to be adjusted so that the efficiency of the hydro jet (151) is optimal, since the waterline (draft) may not be constant and the pressure of the overboard discharge may vary.

As described above, the air circulation system according to the th embodiment of the present invention eliminates the conventional fan and instead uses water as a medium, which is used in a seawater cooling system that must be disposed on ships and marine structures, so that the system can be stably operated with a simple configuration.

Fig. 2 shows an air circulation system according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

Hereinafter, an air circulation system according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 2, wherein the description of the same configuration as that previously described in the th embodiment is omitted.

The Air suction device according to the second embodiment of the present invention is applied to an Air injector (251) (Air injector) which sucks Air on the outer duct (112) as high-pressure Air flows in.

The air flowing into the air injector (251) uses a compressed air system commonly used in ships.

That is, compressed air, which is generally compressed to about 30bar in a ship, flows into the air injector (251) through an Air Compressor (AC) or the like, and appropriately decompressed to conform to the air injector (251) by the reduction unit (R) and then flows into the air injector (251).

Thus, air sucked into the outer pipe (112) of the double pipe is circulated, air flowing into the air injector (251) is discharged through the second discharge line (261), and the second discharge line (261) is connected to the air supply line (131), so that air can be circulated without additional air supply from the air supply part (130), and air consumption can be reduced.

The air remaining in such a process is discharged through the discharge port (262) via the second discharge line (261).

In addition, when leakage of gas is sensed by the gas sensor (142), the leaked gas is controlled to be able to be discharged to a safe place through the three-way control valve (271).

Further, when the leakage of the gas is sensed, the circulation of the gas discharged through the air injector (251) is blocked by controlling the air supply part side three-way control valve (272), and the air is supplied to the air supply line (131) through the air supply part (130).

As described above, the air circulation system according to the second embodiment of the present invention removes the conventional fan and instead uses the compressed air generated by the compressed air system disposed on the ship and the marine structure as a medium, thereby enabling the system to be stably operated with a simple configuration.

Fig. 3 shows an air circulation system according to a third embodiment of the present invention.

Hereinafter, an air circulation system according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 3, wherein the description of the same configuration as that previously described in the th embodiment is omitted.

The air suction device according to the third embodiment of the present invention is adapted with a Steam ejector (351) (WaterEjector) sucking air on the outer pipe (112) as Steam (Steam) of high pressure flows in, and sucks air therethrough during the transition of the Steam of high pressure and large capacity at a low pressure and fast speed to generate vacuum.

In the case of using the steam ejector (351), since the density of the high-pressure steam is high, a large amount of air having a small relative density can be sucked.

Steam generated by steam systems provided on ships and marine structures may flow into such steam injectors (351).

A steam system is essentially applied to ships and marine structures, and a steam supply device (352) such as an Economizer (Economizer) using waste heat of a boiler and an engine is applied to generate steam at a place where heating and a heat source of a facility are required to supply the steam.

That is, the steam generated by the steam supply device (352) flows into the steam ejector (351) after the pressure is adjusted to about 6bar suitable for the steam ejector (351), and thereby the air of the outer duct (112) can be circulated.

The steam flowing into the steam injector (351) in this way may be discharged overboard by the three-way control valve (361) through the third discharge line (362) after passing through the steam injector (351), or may be supplied again to the steam supply device (352) through the condensed water circulation line (363).

That is, in case of emergency such as gas leakage in the outside duct, the three-way control valve (361) is controlled to discharge the steam to the outside of the ship through the third discharge line (362), and at this time, the leaked gas is discharged together with the steam or condensed water , thereby reducing the risk of fire.

Further, the steam normally flowing into the steam ejector (351) is circulated by the condensed water circulation line (363) and supplied again to the steam supply device (352), thereby enabling the steam to be generated again in the steam supply device (352), constituting a resource efficient system.

The condensed water circulation line (363) is branched and converts low-pressure Steam into condensed water via a Steam trap (371) (Steam trap) or condenses and transforms the Steam into high-temperature water via a dump condenser (372) (doubling condenser), so that it can be stored in a hot well (373) (Cascade tank), and the condensed water stored in the hot well (373) can be supplied to the Steam supply device (352) to generate Steam again.

An exhaust line (374) may be additionally disposed in the thermal well (373) to enable leakage gas flowing into the thermal well (373) to be exhausted, and a gas sensor (375) may be disposed on the exhaust line (374) to immediately sense the leakage of the gas.

As described above, the air circulation system according to the third embodiment of the present invention removes the conventional fan and instead mediates the steam generated by the steam system that must be disposed on the ship and the marine structure, so that the system can be stably operated with a simple configuration and the used steam can be reused, thereby forming a resource-efficient system.

The air circulation system through the dual duct for air supply and the air circulation method by the same according to the present invention as described above are not limited to the described embodiments, and it will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art that various modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Therefore, such modifications or variations are intended to fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention.
