1. A protective device for a vehicle, characterized by comprising:

a protection device that protects a protection object that collides with a vehicle;

a measuring device that measures an image of the protection object and a distance of the protection object from the vehicle; and

and a control device for causing the protection device to operate in different modes according to the size of the protected object.

2. The vehicular protection apparatus according to claim 1,

the protection device is an air bag device,

the airbag device includes an airbag that is deployed toward the front of the vehicle,

the control means judges the size of the protected object based on the information of the measuring means,

deploying the airbag by the airbag device when the protection object is large,

when the object to be protected is small, the airbag is deployed at a lower pressure and in a smaller range by the airbag device than when the object to be protected is large, or the airbag device is not operated.

3. The vehicular protection apparatus according to claim 1,

the protector is a pop-up device that moves a hood in front of and above the vehicle,

the control device judges the size of the protected object according to the information of the measuring device,

when the protection object is large, the hood is moved rearward by raising the hood by the ejector,

in the case where the object to be protected is a medium object, the rear portion of the hood is raised by the ejector,

when the protection object is small, the ejection device is not operated.

4. The vehicular protection apparatus according to claim 3,

the ejecting device uses a motor as a driving source,

the control device predicts a collision of the protection object with the vehicle in advance based on information of the measurement device.

5. The vehicular protection apparatus according to claim 3,

the ejection device includes: an ejection device which is provided on the front side and operates by a gas generating device using an explosive, and an ejection device which is provided on the rear side and uses a motor as a driving source.

6. The vehicular protection apparatus according to claim 1,

having an acceleration sensor or a physical sensor that is provided at the front of the vehicle and detects the collision,

the protection device is an ejecting device which is operated by a gas generating device using gunpowder and moves an engine cover at the front upper part of the vehicle,

the control device detects a collision based on information from the acceleration sensor or the physical sensor, and causes the pop-up device to operate.

7. A vehicle, characterized in that,

a vehicle protection device according to any one of claims 1 to 6.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a vehicle protection device that protects a protected object such as a pedestrian when a vehicle collides with the protected object, and a vehicle including the vehicle protection device.

Background

Conventionally, as a vehicle protection device that reduces an impact on a protection object (pedestrian) by deploying an airbag when a vehicle collides with the protection object, for example, vehicle pedestrian protection devices described in patent documents 1 and 2 are known.

The pedestrian protection apparatus for a vehicle described in patent document 1 prevents a pedestrian from sliding up rearward in the vehicle by deploying an airbag having a slide-up prevention mechanism upward from a front bumper at the time of a collision.

The injury reduction device described in patent document 2 prevents a pedestrian from falling down by detecting the movement of the pedestrian on the hood and performing acceleration/deceleration/steering using a camera after absorbing the impact of the pedestrian using an airbag deployed on a front windshield and the hood (bonnet).

Disclosure of Invention

The vehicle protection devices described in patent documents 1 and 2 can absorb an impact of a protection object (pedestrian) by an airbag or a hood at the time of a collision. However, in the vehicle protection device, when the object to be protected is protected by the airbag or the hood, the difference in the object to be protected by the hood or the airbag is not considered.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a vehicle protection device capable of protecting a protection object such as a pedestrian from a vehicle collision, and a vehicle including the vehicle protection device.

In order to solve the above problem, a vehicle protection device according to claim 1 includes: a protection device that protects a protection object that collides with a vehicle; a measuring device that measures an image of the protection object and a distance of the protection object from the vehicle; and a control device that causes the protection device to operate in different modes according to the size of the protected object.

The vehicle of the invention 2 is a vehicle provided with the vehicle protection device of the invention 1.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

According to the present invention, it is possible to realize a vehicle protection device capable of protecting a protection object such as a pedestrian in response to a collision with a vehicle, and a vehicle including the vehicle protection device.

Detailed Description

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to appropriate drawings.

The vehicle protection device of the present invention is a device for protecting a pedestrian, a bicycle, or the like that collides with a vehicle.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view schematically showing a principal part of an example of a vehicle protection device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, and shows a state of a front part of a vehicle in a normal state.

The traveling direction of the vehicle C is "front", the reverse direction is "rear", the vertical upper side is "upper", the vertical lower side is "lower", and the vehicle width direction is "left" and "right" when viewed from the vehicle C side.

A vehicle C to which the vehicle protection device 1 is applied will be described.

As shown in fig. 1, the vehicle C to which the vehicle protection device 1 of the present invention is applied may be a hood-type automobile having an engine hood 11 on the front side of the vehicle body, and may be a passenger vehicle or a working vehicle, and the vehicle type is not particularly limited. Hereinafter, a passenger car having a motor room in a front portion of a vehicle body will be described as an example of the vehicle C.
